whats the name of that app?

I use endomondo because i now have a blackberry and it seems the best for that platform, there aren't a lot of options. They also offer it on iphone, android, and windows phone.

Android and iPhone have a lot more options though. I've only ever used free ones. I used RunKeeper when I had android and enjoyed it; wife still uses it.

There should be a health and fitness section in the app store for whatever phone you have and you can look through the reviews. Someone here might have some recommendations.

Run tracker is the app a lot of my friends use. There are a ton of them out there.

I have Runtastic on my phone, but honestly I don't use it that much. Only for tempo runs when I want to make sure I maintain a certain pace, or on those very rare occasions I run a random route and want to know how far I've gone. It's a good solid app though.

I spent $150 on that stupid chip in my shoe from Nike, and I've used it once. Lol. Got injured shortly after buying it, and haven't run much since.

Did Kenpo X today just to mix things up a little bit. I have to admit after three weeks of T25, Kenpo X was a breeze even though it was a full hour. It's not nearly as intense.

So far I'm really liking T25. It's a nice workout if you're strapped for time.

7 rounds, for time:
3 front rolls,
5 wall crawls,
7 toes to bar
9 30" box jumps

I'm already tired, and I'm just watching the earlier class, lol.

Loving crossfit so far. My biggest problem with conventional workouts is boredom, and getting motivated to work out. No such problem with crossfit, it's new every day! Some lifts and exercises are the same, but the situation and goal will be different. Feels like I've found a home. :)

First night back at beach volleyball, and boy my back tightened up. Super uncomfortable at work, and forgot ibuprofen. Blargh.

So I did my 20 minutes of cardio yesterday morning, then did weights for half an hour or so with crunches in there somewhere. Then a buddy called and asked if I would play racquetball with him in the afternoon, so we played for a couple of hours. Then I did 25 minutes on the elliptical this morning.

My ass hurts. I'm not kidding. It hurts when I sit down.

Try a foam roller, they work miracles for me. We have a rumble roller with little nodules for deeper tissue massage... the thing is a life saver.

Signed up for the Tahoe Tough Mudder in August with my older brother. Starting my training now so I can beat his butt!

Remember, it's not a race, it's a challenge! :)

Wod 1: complete in 18 minutes - 4 400m sprints, resting 1 minute between each.

Wod 2: complete in 10 minutes - 4 rounds of 10KB swings, 10 box jumps, 200m run.

Certain death awaits me this afternoon... it's been nice knowing you, BGO.

You're right, Henry. I need to just relax and focus on the important thing which is just finishing this momentous challenge.

Ahead of him. :D

Hey, I did that WOD yesterday! With an abbreviated bi's/tri's weight training workout afterward. I forgot my watch, so I have no clue what time my 4x400 time was though.

I'm going to have to start adding a lot of these running, sprinting, hill work WOD's to my training for the next 6 months leading up to the Tough Mudder. They definitely aren't my most favorite type of cardio workout. :/

I'm into my second week of P90X3. So far, I love it. Much better than the first one.

Got 11:35 for the first WOD (really surprised myself).

Got 10:23 for the second one, missed Rx by 23 seconds, but still pretty good for me.

I'll get better next time!!

SK, are you doing these in your own? I don't have the discipline.

Wow, great job on your times.

I typically try to hit 2 CrossFit group classes/week plus 1 HIIT session a week that I do on my own. I basically use them as my cardio workouts to supplement my weight training program that is 4-5 days a week right now.

Now that the weather's getting better though, I want to focus on becoming leaner for summer as well as getting into better condition for "fun" runs and things like the Tough Mudder. So, lately I've been adding to my schedule an extra HIIT WOD that I do on my own. In another month I'll try to add at least one more HIIT session a week. Basically my plan this summer is to do 4-5 cardio-specific WOD's a week with some additional weight training in areas emphasized in an obstacle course (e.g. a lot of upper body stuff like pull-ups). Since they're max 25 min. sessions, it shouldn't be too bad fitting those in. That's my plan, here's to hoping I can stick to it 80% of it
