Hall is not a top ten CB, unfortunately. I wasn't sure where his contract stood w.r.t. other CBs in the league, but as I feared, we're overpaying him. Ugh.

Yeah, which makes me not really like the resigning now.

Which, btw, is exactly why I'm fearing our resigning of Orakpo.

If that happens, with a top 10 type contract (possibly top 5?) I'm going to officially bail on this regime. It'll just be a complete slap in the face and obvious sign that business is being run the way it was before, and we have completely incompetent people in charge again.

Get all this cap space back, blow it all on a few players that are clearly over hyped and now over paid... Yeah. Getting really ****ing sick of it.

He doesn't show up on the list for cap hit.

But his contract seems to be 4 years 17 million, with a 3.25 mil signing bonus and an average salary of 4.24/year, with only 5.25 guaranteed.

The low guaranteed amount makes me happier. The average salary is a bit higher than he might be worth. I suppose all things considered it's reasonable. I wish we had a second Amerson so we could have just let him walk, but whatever.

He also voluntarily took a pay cut to help us out during the penalty.

Bottom line is, it's a good deal for both sides. IMO
Nothing's perfect. But this doesn't appear to be the same ole, same ole.

Smart players are important. Dumb players cost you. It doesn't take much to figure out which category a guy is in.

What a shame. There was a legit opportunity to secure the #2 spot here for the foreseeable future, and he didn't seize it.

That clears a bunch of money under the cap and today we learned that the cap itself will increase by about $7 mil for the coming season. That should put the Redskins at about $32 under for now (that includes the DHall contract).
