Random Commanders Thoughts

Fred Davis is right up there with his fellow draft busts from 2008, Thomas and Kelly.

Frankly, I am just sick of hearing about the guy and all his excuses and off the field problems.

we did get Rob Jackson and Chris Horton in that draft.. whatever happened to Horton? I liked that dude... he was 'The Predator'

His one badass game against the bums put him on the map!

haha true... still liked the dude.. we got Justin Tryon in that draft too. I thought he was going to be a sleeper pick, small speedy corner.

Horton disappeared from the face of the earth. His rookie year was great, then bam! Nothing...

So a ten pick draft is down to a seventh round backup linebacker?

Makes me feel worse.

Chris Horton got picked up by the Giants in 2012 and was released by them in August of that year. He's still listed as a FA but nobody bit last season-he's 30 now and probably can't hang with the young stud safeties anymore I would guess.

Horton was never that great. He was an ok backup who made a few plays his rookie year. Back then when late round draft picks literally never panned out we considered that a future star. I never had anything against the guy but you could tell from day one he was no Sean Taylor.

Well hush my puppies! Kyle got hired by the Browns. The Cousins Watch begins and could culminate sometime next month. Interesting.

Wow, as OC? Interesting that Kyle may end up coaching another Redskins reject in Campbell.

He could end up having Johnny Football to run his offense. That would be interesting.

Redskins | Team has strong waiver position - NFL Hot off the Wire

The Washington Redskins have the second waiver position for offseason claims, behind the Houston Texans. CSNWashington columnist Rich Tandler speculates this could help accelerate the Redskins rebuilding because of their position for waiver claims. Players with four or more accrued seasons immediately become free agents while those with less than four years in the league are subject to the waiver system. Tandler said real action with waivers would not likely begin until March.

Campbell was released. He won't be back in Cleveland.

But he is like Frerotte, he will get a job somewhere and stay in the league until he is 35 or 36.

How about Tarvaris Jackson getting a Super Bowl ring?

Never thought I would see that.

Yeah... I'd prefer we not take on any possible cultural issues with new players.

If we were a well established, perennial contender that had a solid 5-10 leaders on the team then that'd be one thing. But we're a rather young team with a first time head coach and I just don't think it's a good idea.

Carriker may come back but not at his cap number. Like Hall last year he is going to have to take a cut here or elsewhere after missing two seasons at age 30.

Yeah, he'd need a pretty big pay cut to stay. If healthy though, he's vital. Big if!
