A bit more then one word.... and since you went there, how exactly did it adversely effect the team ? No opinions, just straight up facts. You know, like what games did it cause us to loose.... what player (s) did it cause to under achieve... that type of stuff.

Your Boss: I appreciate that. But everyone else is here at 8.

Mom: But Pete doesn't need to be there at 8. Next year needs to be different.

The owner of your company doesn't invite you, or the rest of your office over to Thanksgiving dinner at his house.

But he invites one of the employees under you to come over.

Is that a problem? Why not just invite you, and the entire team over too?

You trying to act like thats whats happening is just complete speculation. There is nobody anyone respects saying hes doing that.

Take a step back and just slow down with all the negative energy you use to dog this team.

Most fans of a team say "we" when they are referencing it. It's a common colloquialism. Harping on that is nitpicking at its finest.

What does Roberts relationship with Snyder have to do with his dad ? That was the subject at hand last I checked. Are you saying that Robert Jr told Snyder to give his boy special treatment ?
Don't seem to remember seeing a link to that story over the past two years....

Changing the subject due to lack of hard evidence Robert Jr has adversely effected the team doesn't work. All any of us have is he said, she said BS from the media, and there an imaginative bunch.

Henry - that's the smart play. There's a few people here that have gone that route, and I give you all kudos.

I still dont see the big deal here. If he wasnt able to fly to Texas to be with his family and Snyder was having a dinner...isnt that just the nice thing to do? When I was single I used to get invited to several houses during the holidays so that I wasnt alone.

Well, I don't think that was it. From what I understood, they were in Texas for the cowboys game and Griffin asked to stay behind to be with family and snyder stayed with him and had Thanksgiving with Griffin and his family. I may have parts of that wrong though.

As for not seeing the big deal, I'm with you. It's just another chicken in the room.

Oh, so it was the after the game on Thanksgiving?

Then he was in Texas on Thanksgiving and was either going to be on a plane during the rest of the day to try and get home or in some hotel with strangers. Curse that Griffin for being polite and inviting him over for a family meal!!!

I know you dont see it as a big deal...but I see it as just hateful and people looking to post all the hate they can about this team.

Their issue isn't that he stayed back with family, it's that Snyder joined them.

I don't blame anyone at this point for whatever they believe. The one exception to that is the people that want Griffin gone (they exist, they're few but they exist) because he's clearly the face of the franchise and we'll sink or swim with him for the next 10 years.

The people left following this team are passionate. You have to be to follow a team this closely after 22 years of failure and ineptitude. There were 3 years where things were supposed to be improving, we were supposed to be a respectable organization again, on the right track, yada, yada, sex, erm wait I mean back to being a good organization and stuff. Now this... i don't blame anyone for getting worked up.

But maybe that's because I get worked up like I'm bi-polar and have entered a manic state at least once a day these last few weeks and am trying to justify it

Yeah. I invited two of my team members to our Thanksgiving Dinner this year because they had no place to go. Neither of them came, but I don't think it would have caused a huge problem if they had. This one is one of the worst of the manufactured controversies, to me. I guess with Snyder's history, an argument could be made that this sort of preferential treatment should best be avoided all the way around, but in the end it just isn't a huge deal to me.

The amount this organization struggles to fill the stadium on a weekly basis is so depressingly sad. It's so pathetic. It's been this way for a while, it's been steadily getting worse over the last 10 years. It's finally reaching new lows. I don't know if it's so clearly visible to those outside the area, or those that only watch on TV, but it's really obvious and has been for a while to season ticket holders (current and those that already gave theirs up)

If they don't turn this ship around soon I'm seriously expecting sections to be tarped over.

I guess you could look at the large sections that were permanently removed or replaced with standing room only as even worse than tarping over, so maybe we're already there.

when we were at the game against the Chargers it looked almost full to me. it does hold 98K and makes it 2nd largest in the league...that is a small part of it.

but I agree with needing to improve the product and experience. the stadium itself was nothing to be impressed with. it was just....there

It doesn't hold 98k. They removed large sections from the top level.

Redskins fans are fair weather fans. I know a lot of people refuse to admit it, it hurts their pride, but it's the truth. In terms of supporting local teams, through think and thin, in rain and in the sun shine, redskins fans are truly awful. So yea, the chargers game had decent weather, the team wasn't out of it yet, so plenty of people showed up.

At the KC game, in the cold and bad weather with the team out of it, no one showed up. And I'm not even talking about most of us leaving at half time, I'm talking about at kickoff the stadium being maybe, MAYBE, 50% full, not counting club seats just general admission.

So, 20 years of losing has thinned out the season ticket holders and now the stadium sits empty when the team isn't playing a meaningful game. It's been going this way for a while.

I don't think the stadium experience has anything to do with it, but that's just me. That place is full and rocking when the team is doing well, and it's fun to be there when that's the case. The only solution is to have a team that's competitive year in, year out.

Best numbers I can find on current capacity is 85,000 as of 12/8/2013 but that still feels really high. I think they're counting all the standing room only 'seats'. I'm curious what the GA capacity is for actual seats.

Walton at 26 is a decent gamble by Washington. He has 32 games of starting experience and if he can recover might unseat soon to be 31 year old Montgomery as the starter in 2014 at center.

The Broncos ran into a numbers issue on the DL and Walton was not yet 100% so he was waived.

Denver is only looking at 2013 and Mincey made sense for them.

Good move.

Especially as it looks like Josh LeRibeus after 2 years of being inactive is likely a busted pick for the interior OL including center.
