Random Commanders Thoughts

@xmasape
C'mon, Shanahan, if you really want to get fired you'll start Grossman.

Unfortunately the shanahan-must-go people are going to have to wait a few more weeks.

And honestly, that may be the better way to do things, the more professional way. But who knows what tomorrow brings with this clown show.

If Cousins is starting will Griffin still have his weekly press conferences?

That reminds me of one of Gibb's qbs who had a TV contract but was sat-down by Gibbs early in the year. It was brutally awkward every week.

I forget who it was.

1.0 or 2.0? I want to say I remember that

The playing surface at FedEx Field will no longer be listed as grass. It will now be listed as "scorched earth." #Redskins.

LOL!

Czabe on Shanahan owning this:
"The owner, for all of his shortcomings, pushed the team into someone else's hands for 4 years and stepped away."

Shanahan won't get another job in the NFL unless he is willing to give up the personnel piece. His last few years in Denver and his time here has shown that he is mediocre in his ability to judge talent and price it and the compensation for it accurately.

Mike Holmgren had the same problem. Won Super Bowl as a coach, but then when he got too big for his britches and decided he wanted to run everything, started to run into trouble and tarnished his reputation.

i wish they fired everyone today, brought in lovie smith, promoted aj smith and bruce allen.

i really, really wish that was what happened today.

too many moving parts. if Smith was already on the staff as DC that might have been workable. But we are talking about a total house cleaning. There is no way this team would be prepared to take the field on Sunday with the change coming this quickly.

What I hope the focus stays on is the overall failures. A 20-17 win over the equally hapless Falcons, although unlikely, should not breathe any more air into the Shanahan lifeboat.

He has to go.

I know things are bad, but they aren't "Lovie" bad.

Take a deep breath. We can do much better than that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and say that Shanahan will be back next season.
I think he just had a "Jim Mora" moment with the press, that's gotten blown way out of proportion by both fans and media, and whatever rift he has with anyone in the organization, will be eventually patched up in time, for him to return next year.

There's a few things I know for sure. It will be cold in DC till it gets warm, the Skins will have a loosing record, and at the stroke of midnight on Dec 31st, it will be 2014.

That's all I got...

I think some of the people here are over-dramatic girly men.

This ain't all that boys.
