Random Commanders Thoughts

So frustrating to see a guy like Nick Perry (who?) get a sack fumble like its nothing, and our "marquee pass-rushers" can't sniff the damn QB. Is the difference BJ Raji? Or just pure effort? Is Nick Perry (again, who?) just that much better than Orakpo and Kerrigan? Somehow I doubt it.

had to give away 3 tickets and a parking pass for free. couldn't find anyone that wanted to go to the game.

i hate seasons like this.

oh well, the tailgate will be fun at least.

(before anyone suggests it, I was about 20-30 minutes away from posting them on here to whoever could make the drive. yeah, it's that bad.)

So our assistant coach inadvertently steps into the white area, and never onto the actual field, and gets called for a penalty.
Meanwhile, Head Coach Mike Tomlin steps directly ONTO the field, and directly IN THE PATH of the opposing player, who has to alter his path as a result, which probably prevented him from scoring. ALL THIS right in front of a referee. And nothing was called.

Yeah that's about right

Jacoby Jones should've kept going full speed and hit Tomlin with his shoulder and knocked him down IMO.

I didn't even realize we were playing the gnats until today.

Meh, hopefully they can at least make a decent showing.

I thought we got flexed out of the night game tonight. I guess not. What a difference a year makes, last year we thrived in the latter part of the season under the lights, this year we stink it up. I have no clue what to expect tonight, I just hope we don't get embarrassed again on national TV.....

Nope. Going to get crushed.

At this point in the season everyone knows that stopping Morris and making griffin throw is the way to beat us. Griffin is going to get killed. Our offense is 0 dimensional.

The Rooneys are like the Maras. Nothing they or their minions do will ever be considered a deliberate act of cheating. I'm only kinda kidding.

I actually like Tomlin but the fact that nothing was called on that play is an absolute joke.

JPP is out and the Giants D isn't what it used to be but you never know the way RG3 has been playing.

Griffin got absolutely killed last week. He can't continue to take that beating. I hope Mike has enough sense now to pull him if he gets too beat up. Not caring about W or L, just get him past the rest of the season healthy.

Thing is, it doesn't even have to be considered deliberate, to get called for a penalty.

They are, actually talking about fining Tomlin, and the Steelers, and even hitting them for a draft pick.

But Tomlin is on the competition committee.

That's what I don't get - how can it be a "competition" committee, when it's made up of reps of the teams. It's no longer competitive, and defeats the purpose. They should have people who are not associated with teams, on that committee

Griffin getting pulled would create such a shit storm. It'd almost be fun to watch.

Almost.

Yea, I was just thinking, if he got pulled for anything other than a devastating injury, it would be a public relations nightmare.......(even if it's because a game is a blowout, or the season is obviously lost, in order to give Cousins playing time, it would be so scrutinized)

That was a dumb move by Tomlin (and obviously a dumb non-call), but it didn't cost Baltimore the game. I really don't get how you could possibly penalize a team draft picks for something like that - what am I missing (I did not watch the game)?

You can't penalize a team for cap violations in an uncapped year, can you?

80-100k sounds about right. Draft picks would blow me away.

With that said, they need to send a strong message to prevent this from ever happening again.
