Reed Doughty is officially *out* for the Denver game. Didn't even make the trip. Not good news.

As far as running the ball, I agree with Henry, the stats are skewed because nobody runs on Denver, they've been able to score so fast and everyone tries to play catchup..

Not just catch up though...teams are having success throwing against them too because they are so bad in the secondary. It would be tempting to throw a lot on them. Dallas was leading most of the game and continued throwing...probably one of the reasons they lost the game though.

I agree with that!!! Offenses now are geared to the pass, if you can do it effectively, why do anything different?

hopefully watching from the bench humbled him.. It takes a special kind of person to step onto an NFL field and be successful... let alone a flat out rookie. I dont think we've seen the last of him, can't let the beginning of the season be the gauge. IMHO you give the kid time, a year AT LEAST to develop the right way.

Peyton is frothing at Rambo starting. He's just not a good football player. I hope Philip Thomas is better but we wont know for a long time.

So Rambo is expected to play? I think he would like the opportunity to earn a spot on this roster. It's not like our DB's were doing a solid job with or without him. Everyone looked bad in the Eagles game. He's a rookie and could still prove some value to the team.

Yet again the defense looks bad on paper, but watching the game it's clear the offense is the problem.

Just awful football. They weren't even competitive. The line played awful, but Griffin looked bad even when he had time.

Griff starts unless he was actually injured late in the game. Hopefully the OLine and Kyle are all having come to Jesus talks with Shanny this week.

If they start Counsins that sends the message that Griffin is entirely to blame - or more specifically that the coaching staff thinks Griffin is entirely to blame. I don't see how that creates a good situation for anyone; the players, the coaches, griffin, or ownership.

It would be nice if Griffin didn't have a fragile ego and was able to accept that he's not playing well and needs to 'get right' but it's just not the case. He'd immediately go to ownership and the media and create a ****storm.

The chance for Shanahan to force Griffin to sit and get healthy and come back was at the start of the season. When he walked on the field opening day that ship sailed.

For the long term it's probably more important that Griffin learn how to work through bad times anyways. If he's going to be our QB for the next 15 years then he needs to learn how to get out of a slump. In addition to that - this is not in any way all his fault. The dallas loss was a special teams loss, for example. Yesterday Griffin was awful - but so was his line and WR's dropped passes at crucial moments.

The key point is that you cannot bench him. He needs live fire. QBs struggle in their second season. The term "Sophomore Slump" wasn't coined for nothing. Yes, I want him to be successful, and watching what Andrew Luck is doing doesn't exactly make it easy, but he is what he is. He's a young man playing a very VERY difficult sport. He needs time to learn himself, as well as learn what to do in certain situations.

The worst is listening to people that don't pay attention to football, much less the redskins, try to talk to me about what's wrong with the team.

They make the most asinine comments and I want to just tell them they're dumb and have no idea what they're talking about, but it's not worth it in a work environment. So i just nod my head to try to get through the conversation as quickly as possible.

You think the guy that took his father on a media campaign last offseason about being a pocket passer instead of a running QB last offseason wouldn't make a stink?

No way Griffin sits. He shouldn't sit. If he's the future of this team you need to let him work through whatever it is that's not right.

Young QBs are raw. You should expect growing pains. If you sit a QB halfway through his second season you're giving up on him. That's fine if we're talking about Brandon Weeden or Blaine Gabbert, but I think Griffin has earned a little more rope than those guys.

perhaps...but, to me, the rope he has earned is at it's last knot and all he is doing now is taking a beating. he is literally being lifted off his feet when he gets slammed to the turf. its bad..like back breaking, neck injury bad if he's not careful.

I have to ask, did any of you honestly ... honestly think that we'd win yesterday? I think I put our chances of marching into Denver and beating a rebounding Broncos team that was favored by 14 points at about 5%. Was your percentage higher than that?

If it was, I have to say that's on you. The Broncos are a really really really good team. They were coming off a loss. At home. It was a miracle that we hung with them as long as we did.

If any of you are ringing the bell to bench Bob, I hope you were ringing it on Saturday, and not because of the buzzsaw we walked into yesterday.

If Bob hadn't shown us anything last year, and continued to not show us anything this year, I'd agree it might be time to look at Cousins (He of the two interceptions in a half a quarter of play). But half a season after spotty play it's time to bench Griffin? Really? This is why Dan Snyder can never put a winning team together. He is way too quick with the hook. Griffin was a ever-loving pro-bowler and rookie of the year last year. The guy has an extremely high ceiling. We've SEEN it. Just because he's struggling to recover from an injury that would have most players still on the sideline doesn't mean he suddenly sucks. It means he's struggling. If you bench him, trade him. Get him out of here. Burn it to the ground and start over. And hope that THIS time the guy you draft is perfect all the time.

agree with going with what we have - especially because of the high cost involved….we j=have no choice. agree on the high ceiling. disagree with those who think the progress (or lack thereof) is attributable to injury. there is a fundamental problem here reading defenses. what's with the accuracy I don't know - hoping it is just layover from the injury that will eventually go away. but the decision-making/seeing the field? that is a matter for concern and needs to improve.

this team is mis-firing on a number of levels - QB happens to be one of them and is very obvious. the issue isn't dumping RGIII. the issue is getting the problem fixed. and a lot of us are not seeing any progress in that regard.
