I'm not a everyone gets a participation trophy type guy. He should be banned from the game. He's going after people in a way that ends careers, causes severe brain damage linked to suicides and other severe mental issues, and is causing the game we all love to change a little more towards two hand touch every year.

Not to mention he has a DUI and was involved in a shooting.

This dude's time in the NFL is long over due. He's scum. Playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right. It'd be nice if Mr. Protect The Shield had any god damn common sense, he could actually act on half of what he preaches. I'm sure he just doesn't have time, his plate is full with ridiculous rule changes to implement next year and more games over seas.

Don't forget the part where he stomped on several players' heads while at the U of Miami, and was suspended by the ACC.
So when he's not trying to cause head injuries to other players using his own head, he uses his stomping foot to try to do the job.

Brandon Merriweather is a piece of **** and needs to be banned from the league. He's guaranteed to be an inmate shortly after his career ends anyway, so let's get the process started early. The sooner the better. I hate the patsy PC everyone's a winner crowd, but this isn't about that. He is a much filthier player than Suh, and everyone hates Suh because he's a dirty scumbag. This isn't a sudden isolated thing, Merriweather has done this since he was a freshman in college. Then he goes off the field and is an equal failure as a human being at life away from the field. I hated him before he got here, I've hated him the whole time he's been here, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we cut his ass.

I doubt he caused the brawl.

Not sure what role he played in the shooting, to be honest. Majority of people go through their life without being involved in a shooting - so I'm pretty confident in judging one's character based on being involved in a shooting...

Fred Davis is a three dollar bill. He says all the right things but then goes into the doghouse because he just doesn't work hard enough.

Chris Russell reported on Monday that Davis is indeed being held out because of attitude and work habits rather than lingering injury concerns.

My guess is Davis assumed he was going to walk in and be the starter and the rapid development of Jordan Reed has allowed the Redskins to play hardball with Davis.

If he doesn't want to work as hard as Reed and Paulsen, then he isn't going to play.

No, I don't believe the side effects of CTE are visible until years down the road. In fact most of the research comes from studying the brains of deceased former players.

We do have a list of people he's gone helmet to helmet with, some of which have been knocked out of games.
