MLB 2013 (Primarily non-Nats/O's

because ANY of us had a chance to forget the fact you predicted something for even a second?

lol...

congrats...I really hope they do well. But you should prepare yourself now for the countless teasing IF they dont.

I ain't worried 'bout that. Even if we lose the wild card game, fans of exactly 8 teams will be able to rightfully talk junk. :)

Mettle testing time.

Bucs must win 2 of 3 in Cincy to host the wild card game on Tuesday.

Do it, boys!! LET'S GO BUCS!!!

With home field already locked up, Clint Hurdle was afforded the luxury of resting nearly all of his starters. (Pedro Alvarez at 3rd was the only regular who played.)

The result? A 4-2 win. A CLUTCH series sweep. And all the momentum in the world heading into the wild card game AT PNC PARK!!!

"Per a friend at the game, a Red Sox fan was escorted from the stadium after taking a live Ray out of the tank and throwing it."

@thomasbeisner

What a douche!

Paging Jugs...
Paging Jugs...

Are you in here Jugs?

Nah, it's OK.

Last night was a bitter pill to swallow. I felt like someone backed over my dog in the driveway when Adams hit that two-run blast. I'm still a little down today.

But when I step back, and I look at what the "experts" expected from us this year, and what we actually accomplished, I can't help but be proud of this team. We scratched, fought and clawed the whole way; and got every ounce that every man on the roster had to offer. I can't ask for much more than that.

The Cardinals are simply a better team. (Not by much; the season series ended 12-12. But they won when it counted.) We showed that we belonged in the playoffs, among the best teams in the game. And we WILL be a force to be reckoned with going forward.

I'm immensely proud of this team. And I'm proud to be a Pirates fan, whether we're losing 100, or winning it all. And I appreciate, more than I can say, the ride this team gave me in 2013.

In conclusion, I'd like to welcome Brian back to this thread, and allow him the floor to discuss the Orioles' 2013 playoff run.

Just because he's a Ravens fan doesn't automatically make him an Orioles fan, does it?

Jason, Andrew McCutcheon is a class act and the Pirates were a good team. They faded at the end of the season that's all. They are young and I could root for them...if it weren't for some instigator!!!

And Goal, I found myself rooting for Buffalo over the Ravens a couple of weeks ago since my fellow alum is at the helm up there. So no more Ravens...now it's the Bills, only because of EJ!!!

Oh and I went to a Redskins' playoff game with a broken arm that occurred 30 minutes before kickoff! Don't ever question my love for the Redskins first and foremost you berry beer drinking, half man/half girl!

MCCUTCHEN.

The NL MVP deserves to have his name spelled correctly.

And there was no damned fade, you ignorant, wishy-washy, fake-fan ninny. :p We lost the fifth and deciding game. That after beating the Reds in the WC, and sweeping the Reds in Cincy to end the regular season.

Stay tuned for the end of the Super Bowl to find out who Brian's NEW favorite team is!!

Umm...

8 Losses in April
10 Losses in May
9 Losses in June
12 Losses in July
14 losses in August
12 Losses in September

Going into August, they had a lead in their division, to begin September they were tied for the lead and end up taking the Wild Card.

That is a decline.

I was trying to be gracious, but F**k the Bucs! I am glad they were eliminated!

I'm glad my team being eliminated from the playoffs brought you some satisfaction. Y'know, since the O's can't.

The satisfaction came knowing I didn't have to listen to your blabber any longer... Yup, last year the O's were in, this year the Pirates. Maybe next year they can both get there...nah, as long as you incessantly boast about them, I hope they lose.

Maybe if you showed me an example of something you consider "over the top," I could take your feewings under advisement and tone it down a little.

Francisco Liriano has been named NL Comeback Player of the Year.

Andrew McCutchen has been named the NL's Most Outstanding Player (by the players) for the second consecutive year.

Standby...There will be more hardware coming to the Steel City.
