The Work Thread

Not long ago, I sent my boss an entire presentation on an approach for continuous improvement that i wanted to lead for a problem area. He received it via email and sat on it for 2 weeks.

Then he sent me an email with MY presentation attached and asked me to research the concept, get in touch with the author of the presentation, and then report back to him on my findings.

needless to say, I chuckled.
Hilarious, and sad, but I can't stop laughing!
Hubby's boss thought until just recently that he had to have the e-mail address for the person intended...had no friggin' clue about the reply button. I swear. And he's worth millions. :thud:

Hey, it could have been worse, he could have sent to you and asking you to proofread his idea before he ran it by his boss.

I don't have that problem but I know someone who does and it's very, very frustrating.

Have I mentioned how much I absolutely ABHOR Microsoft Word? What a piece of **** program that is. I want to punch Bill Gates in the FACE!

Well its official... I just doubled the size of vessel (tonnage) I can legally command! Been a lot of sucking it up over the past couple of years and then there's that 2 weeks in school during the time in which I normally take my birthday vacation/fishing trip but got my upgraded license in the mail this morning. Psyched to say the least... soon I'll start looking for a job that will help qualify me to double my tonnage again within the next couple of years. Today... we celebrate! for a day!

Hate when I'm given a project that "should only take a couple hours." Here I am, going on 10 hours later, lol...I really want to take tomorrow off!

boss wants to go on a 2 hour lunch to some place a county over

hell yeah

I'm confused. Are you going with? Or are you happy b/c he'll be gone for 4 hours?

Both could be good.

I am so thrilled to announce that my wife got a job teaching Head Start. She has been without anything for two years and had started to question her abilities and talents. I am so freaking happy for her (and us). YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

After another forwarded email sent out company wide by my boss from a client who sent him a glowing compliment about me, the boss suggested a sit down between he and I. We are having lunch sometime over the next 2 weeks to gauge our expectations going forward for the photography department. Time for a raise!

The big interview seemed to have gone well (from my perspective at least). Now to see if he agrees! Lots more steps in the process though. He literally told me they intentionally make it very difficult to "get in".

that's what I was thinking!

Still waiting to hear back on the new job offer. Then longer the wait the less likely I think it'll happen :(
