Hit the 35-lb mark, 40 is right around the corner. Once I hit 40lbs, I'm going to start running again, the thought being less weight will be easier on my bum knee.

That's a fantastic number for lbs lost, keep it up.

Oh and my knees are garbage too so I usually go with an elipto glide or row machine on days they're throbbing. Much easier on the joints and still a good workout fwiw.

Travel is the biggest workout killer for me. This month just stinks for travel, but I've done a couple P90x's and am trying to walk or bike, but no more CrossFit until I return June 2. Ugh, I swear the jet lag kills me more the older I get!

Regardless, enjoying checking in here and seeing everyone kicking butt :D

Great job Lanky! Truly impressive :)

Meant to congratulate you earlier, but been busy. Congrats my man, you're on fire! I am down about 25 lbs since Feb, gotta catch up with you!

Pretty much exactly where I am. I need to start eating breakfast - it's just not my thing but I know not eating in the morning is a metabolism killer. I'm going to start taking some vitamins consistently, some Coenzyme Q, at a minimum - been dragging lately and hard to motivate and get my energy level up. I think if it ever truly warms up here in NC, that will help some. Going to ride my first hard ride (organized one) Saturday - only 40 miles but over some seriously hilly terrain. I expect pain :)

Good call on the breakfast I think. As Mom said...most important meal!

I bet you are already in much better shape than I am though man. I still have too much chubb to be plateaued!

40 miles on hills is impressive!! I really need to get more biking in. I enjoy it bust havent carved out the time to just go and do it.

Everyone else bailed on me on the 40 miler - don't care - I'm going alone. Expect to be sore and tired by noon tomorrow :)

Good job Boone, way to push through.

I keep forgetting that even a bad or half ass workout is better than NONE.

Up at 5:30....off to Climax, NC (yeah, I know...) for my 40 miler. Rain, wind, off and on, and a very hilly course, pretty much up and down the whole way. Did the first 20 about 4 mph faster than we've been riding, and had to dial it back some. Cramping for the last 10 miles, but finished. Strange riding alone - made me a little nervous actually. Kind of silly, since there is help all around you if you need it. But it's nice to have family or friends along for the ride just in case.

Good job John! Very impressive. I really need to look into cycling races around here; I enjoy that much more than running.

Impressive as hell man! Great job!

Congrats to all who have lost the weight. I broke down last night and had 2 chocolate chip cookies! They were so friggin good! The 60 detox is over so I have had a couple things that were off limits.

I had crab cakes twice in the last 2 weeks, chocolate chip cookies last night and I had a bite of cheesecake and bite of chocolate cake at the Capitol Grille tonight.

I feel a little nauseas tonight though. But the treats were delicious.

All told, since the beginning of the year...I started out at 256 and weighed in at 212 the other day. 12 more pounds and I will have reached my goal. I said I would be happy at 210, but I am pushing through now. I just wish I could exercise more. My back has been hurting a lot lately.

Couple days home now, so I was finally able to get my butt out this morning and hit the mountain biking trails for about an hour. Felt good to ride again! Leaving again in a day and will try to workout at the hotel, but I suck when it comes to that.

Definitely looking forward to getting back on track with CrossFit and more challenging workouts at the gym in about 2 weeks. Until this month of travel, I never realized how much the friends I've made at the gym really motivate me. Can't wait to rejoin the social scene so I have others to commiserate with during our workouts, haha.

Good job on your weight loss, very impressive. :) You're still doing the wheat free diet, right?

Almost entirely now. I had a couple cookies the other night and have had crab cakes a couple times over the past 2 weeks after the initial 60 day no wheat cleanse. Still no breads no pastas.

Intervals today. Four minutes slow, six minutes fast, three times. The last leg was a little rough but I survived.

I've entered the Springfield 5K a week from Saturday so no more speedwork until then. We'll see if it did any good. :)

One of these days we're going to run together, H.

After a long winter of only getting out maybe once a week on average, I've actually been able to hit the road 3 times in the last 6 days. First couple were just slow and easy 2.25 milers to make shake out the kinks and make sure all the parts still worked...the last one was a more confident 3.5. Actually felt like a runner again for a couple minutes there. :)

I'm up to 40 minutes a day on the Elliptical Machine at the Y. Getting a lot of reading done during the week which is great. Lost 25 lbs so far, by the time I get to Minneapolis for our Summer Sales Meeting, I plan on amazing folks with my new look.

I conquered my new neighborhood Tuesday night. Three miles in 30:21; which is pretty strong for me right now. I've got some work to do before I get back into semi-competitive 5Ks, but I'm pleased with my starting point.

What's his name? :movefast:

Okay, its been a couple days, and I still can't figure out your joke, El. Are you saying Goal's new look is a man, like he's switching teams? Or that he's going to hire someone to pretend to be him? I really don't get it. :frown2:

Yesterday was my last TKD class before the level exam on Tuesday. Today is a five miler.

But it's been a slog lately. I'm just not feeling it, and I'm having a tough time motivating for some reason. The only thing to do when The Malaise hits is to plow through it, but man, I really just don't feel like it. Bleh.
