Joint Statement From Redskins/Cowboys

Eff 'em both. I watched through the first half, and my wife asked me why I was watching, "don't we hate both of these teams?". I told her I hate them both and could be happy no matter who lost.

I wasn't happy that the Cowboys won, but I certainly wasn't sad because the Giants lost.

There you have it.

The Cowboys winning didn't return any of our cap money, did it?
The Giants losing didn't force Mara to sell off assets to cover bills, did it?

I don't think any of us are under the delusion that the outcome of a football game really ever changes much of anything in Real Life. That doesn't mean I don't want Mara and his minions to have a miserable season.

Truth be told, though, I just couldn't bring myself to root for the Cowboys. I pretty much watched the first half rooting for whichever defense was on the field, and then I turned it off. Just watching those teams filled me with disgust.

And this morning when I found out the final score, I wasn't happy, but I will say it's the first time in, well, ever, that I wasn't seriously pissed the Cowboys won.

Exactly, the outcome of this game means "nuttin" except that the Giants are in last place and Dallas is a half a game ahead us for the next few days.

That ain't all bad.

Redskins and Cowboys decide not to bring cap penalty appeals to appeals panel...oh well.
