Joint Statement From Redskins/Cowboys

I wouldn't root for the Cowboys if they were playing al Qaeda in the Olympics.

The best I can do is hope that the losing team never recovers from the loss, and goes on to have a completely miserable season.

Then, I hope the winner loses all the rest of their games.
 
There are exceptions to every rule...and rooting against the a-hole who may have cost your team a couple years in the rebuilding process due to illegal collusion might just be one of them.

I don't know...have to wait and see on Wednesday how I feel.
 
I've always had a mild respect for the Giants over the years, particularly back in the Gibbs1 era when Parcells seemed to have our number. They always seemed to be workman like, played the game and didn't really "flash" anything but professionalism.

The body bag game, the black wreath and other "on the field" stuff that led me to extremely dislike the Eagles and Pokes do not really compare to Baby Mara and his cronies doing all they can to yank the stitches from the gaping wound that the Skins are trying to recover from.


F the Giants, I'd be more than happy to see them take our place in the NFCE standings and if that means tolerating the Cowboys winning to meet that end then so be it.

I do need to point out that attempts to bypass our profanity filters here will absolutely result in no action. This will be the first and last warning. Future attempts to bypass the profanity filter will be met with ambivalence and may result in no action whatsoever.

**** 'em both....I just can't bring myself to say, "I hope the Cowboys win" or "I hope the Giants lose."

So...to maintain my Redskins fan dignity, (in the event that the game doesn't end in a tie, "I hope the Cowboys lose."

I'll admit it - really want the Cowboys to win tonight. When you live in the heart of Eagles and Giants territory, it is not hard to cheer against them. I really want Mara and the Giants to lose often for many years to come for obvious reasons.
 
This is one of those times, when it does not make sense to "act on principle alone".

I understand the "principle" of Skins fans rooting against the Boys, but in all practicality, what Mara's Giants did to us, far outweighs any emotion tied to the Cowboys, as well as any and all history we have with them. What the Giants did was criminal. You can't say that about anything the Cowboys have done. Not to mention, the Giants have been SB Champs twice this decade, while the Cowboys have been pitiful for most of the last couple decades, like ourselves. So that makes it even easier to go against NY, and pull for Dallas. It's harder to hate on a team that's been sucking for quite some time.
 
There's no reason to root for either of them - I don't even get that idea :) You always root against the Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles, even when they are playing each other.

There is a special reason too. Royallypwned - Blake. I hope he enjoyed the first half and can have more of the same in the second half.

A small measure of justice to start the season, but much more is needed. Smiling just a tad here.

Actually the Cowboys won even if they had to play aginst the striped shirts as well. Actually the Cowboys deserved every penalty they got, but the Giants held frequently and were never called. Giants now out cheat everybody. Look what Mara got away with this summer.
