RG3 Tonight Show Appearance

Learned at least one new thing ... man can beatbox.

More EXPOSURE than any 22-year-old I can recall.

There I fixed it for you.
The Tonight Show? Really? Do something. Meh.

Charismatic, talented, young, handsome, soon to be rich.

I hate his ****ing guts!!!

I sure do hope he comes through on the field.

love the guy...even though he talks too much about Obama for my taste. supremely talented. I'm telling you all...I have posted this before....I'm not sure he's with us for the long haul. he has so many options. life, afterall, is short.

it was an engaging appearance...although he had a very obvious nervous energy about him. he was fidgeting the entire time. he's moving very quickly into the fast lane (public eye pov) - for someone so young.

so let's enjoy the ride while we can. i think we're in for something special.

I'm not sure where you're going with this, but I'm pretty sure if he's successful in the NFL, he isn't going to leave early because life is short. Too much fame, money, etc to leave any bit on the table - especially if he's passionate about the game.

Gents, can we please keep Obama out of this forum? Thanks. If you want to discuss RGIII's affections or otherwise for the commander in chief, there is a forum for that. :)

bird...look at the guy. he has been accelerated in everything he has done. he's multi-talented. life is nothing but opportunity for him. I don't see him hangin out until the end. just a hunch. hope I'm wrong.

I do know this - the window is very small...basically one's 20s to somewhere in the mid-30s to make a real mark. there are exceptions, of course. but this guy has his mind and heart moving at a million miles an hour. I don't see him slowing down.

just thinkin out loud. not creating a controversy fro goodness sake!

Nah, you didn't "fix" anything. But you did bring the room down a couple pegs.

So thanks for that.

Right. Because when you're invited on a national talk show and the host asks you a direct question about whether or not you've met the President, you should say, "I don't want to talk about Obama--next question."

Sheesh, Al.

a factual observation. sorry if that displeases you. the thread was about a TV appearance.....not football either. if you're going to act as the blog police.....apply what you think is the rule universally. otherwise....note that I dropped the matter after one sentence precisely because I knew which fish that hook was going to catch.

so..back on theme.....the Leno appearance...which covered a lot more than football...was terrific. we're gonna love this guy!

OM...you guys are blowing this up. I have seen three interviews now where the matter has risen. this is exactly the pattern I saw with Tiger. why do you think they ask...pray tell?

I'll move it over to PA...but here's a separate theme: I have seen politics inching into sports reporting more and more (not speaking to the Leno show). Ivan Carter makes these sweeping value/political judgments all the time...and so does Mike Wise.

in the event....I made my observation. per my response to the blog police officer...let's drop it.

again...this guy is gonna be special and we're in for a spectacular ride IMO.

Yeah. Let's do.

Soon to be? He already signed a deal with Adidas. Not sure what the numbers are, but I am sure it has made him rich.

No controversy at all. Just was wondering what you meant.

I think it'll be ok - could be wrong but he seems like the kind of guy that sticks by his decisions and now he has made his decision to be in the NFL. I know he's been quoted as saying he wanted to try law school but he can clearly do that after he retires from playing (see: Steve Young).

We should be cool. I'm only really concerned about whether or not he'll be any good. I'm optimistic.

The cape on those socks cracked me up. The guy just never ceases to amaze me with his confidence, charm, wit and calm demeanor. I remember seeing 21 year old Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence on with Jay a while back and she was so nervous, I thought she was gonna piss herself and 22 year old RG3 comes on and is just so comfortable and natural. If he has that much poise in the pocket, I think we'll be in good hands.

Oh and Hugh Laurie ROCKS!!! ;)

With all the hype surrounding Griffin, you almost forget there was a player Luck actually taken ahead of him in the draft
