(New Poll) The Washington Commanders Brand 2.0: Beer Drinkers and Hail Raisers

How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

No idea. But it’s been verified that it was for sale in the team store at the stadium. If anyone is complaining about it, I haven’t heard it. But I don’t really do social media so maybe there is significant blowback I’m not seeing.

Like several other things they’ve done, this seems like a test to see what they can get away with. Corporate sponsors change their stance on things all the time the minute they sense a change in revenue projections or an easing of public scrutiny.

Couple of reasons why I asked-

-Nothing shows as available on the team’s online store
-Nothing on Nike.com
-Nothing on Fanatics

I’m just wondering who is producing Redskins gear.

Hmmm. One small step at a time I guess. Maybe they wanted to test it out at the stadium store only first before they take the bigger step of putting them online. We shall see…

Not quite the same thing, but I have always been amused that the Wizards continue to sell Washington Bullets gear at the arena and on their website store.

The late Abe Pollin, after owning a team called the Bullets for 31 years, woke up one morning and decided the name was unacceptable. Well ... ok. But if that is the case, if it is so egregious, then why do you continue sell stuff with that very name?

I appreciate Harris & Co's moves back towards tradition. But it also reminds me of those scenes in Goodfellas where rather than vocalize orders, everybody grins and nods their heads.

Maybe we should be the Washington Wink & Nods. Fits into the whole nations capital/political swamp milieu.

This outfit has some good stuff:

www.teepublic.com

I have not ordered any Redskins gear, yet. Rather I ordered one of my college shirts with block letters, a design my dear alma mater has abandoned.

And a Washington Bullets t-shirt!

I've ordered plenty from teepublic, including some JD and Scary Terry shirts. That website has never disappointed!
