I made this post on Facebook in reference to our new TE. It was liked by Jayden Daniels. I wonder if he was responding to the first part of the last part:
This may be their most impactful signing. They desperately needed a TE with receiving and YAC ability, they actually need two as I've about...
What a great post. I agree JCM is the only back on the roster I feel comfortable getting the primary carries, his injury would be a tough one and totally change the offense.
I still can't believe the Titans will take a RB at 4. The Giants have other more pressing needs and already have a RB.
As a BPA guy for decades this pick is agonizing for me. In addition to the money and roster building component of locking up a premium position (receiver) at a reasonable cost is a pretty strong argument. In addition there is this wrinkle: The success or failure this organization rides on the...
There are just good arguments for Tate, Love or Styles. This is so crazy. Love is a game changer, probably the best player of the 3. I had brought up the cost of a free agent WR when compared to a back, safety or linebacker and it just makes sense to draft your good receiver as that's pretty...
It's a risk no doubt. But it's also clear that his beef was with the Niners. He also realizes this is his mulligan, if he pulls this crap again he will effectively be Antonio Brown with few if any options moving forward. He's not crazy enough not to understand this.
I expect him to be cleared...
I read they have over 60 million in cap space left, which is hard to understand unless these are really backloaded which causes problems later. I guess they can always carry some over and apply it to Jayden's new deal.
C Rod and McNichols being replaced by (checks notes) White and Ford just shows how easy it is to find players like C Rod, McNichols, White and Ford. Which makes a guy like Love really stand out. I too agree the tea leaves are kind of pointing at Tate, I hope it's Love or Downs.
I'm not sure if it's a lack of intelligence or he simply does not have the nuances of a good tight end. I heard a guy who was covering the team in camp say when you see Ertz and then Sinnott they are different animals. Could be what you are talking about, Sinnott just didn't have the feel Ertz...
I liked the Newton pick at the time. I was fine with the injury, they heal and it let a higher rated prospect fall to them. It was just a miss and it happens every draft.
If Sinnott was as good as they thought on draft day he should have been stepping in now. Obviously he was not the answer and he is now a role player. A TE in the 2nd, regardless of how they were planning on using him, should have been a pretty safe pick. This was a painful miss, as was Newton.
Very good point about edge being a future need. However I've never changed positions this late in the process before but I'm hoping for Love. I look at the Niners and realize that McCaffery has a far greater impact on the game than any of their back 7 players. As for pass rushers the miss rate...
The fact that we could replace Brian Robinson with a 6th round pick who was on the bubble in his first camp and then was just as good or better just shows how easy it is to acquire a RB like Rodriguess or Robinson.
JAGS.
I'm simply saying Aiyuk totally screwed the Niners. Being paid millions of dollars and then going AWOL is a cardinal sin. So why would they do him a favor? They aren't the bad guys here.
With that said I welcome him here, on a 1 year prove it deal. That would be a great move but I don't...
I'm really happy for him. He went from being on the bubble as a rookie to being financially set for life. But I sure don't understand that contract. There are 50 guys like C Rod out there, so easy to find.
I'm not sure that's fair. They have every reason to be pissed. They signed the guy to a massive deal and got nothing out of him since. And of course he went AWOL which is unacceptable. They have every reason to stick it to him which is what I believe they are doing.
If Kuzy had produced teams tend to overlook player's behavior. He just never made it worth it for them. All that talent wasted, so frustrating.
I always laugh at fans who freak out over the first few days of free agency. Now I find myself being one of them. No news today after learning Devin...
