    I think Tim Settle is answer already. We’d just bring Goldman or Day back for depth, assuming the are set to play in 2026. Payne looks like he’s had a $5m roster bonus from us, but saving $16m+ in cash and cap still seems very logical. Maybe get a mid rounder. Could draft a later round IDL.

    The sum is greater than the parts, was that a DQ line ? I mean, I get his approach to things and that gets you positive results, but all this fluff he churns out only gets you so far, right. We need a significant upgrade at WR. In fact we need two.

    49ers ownership takes insurance cover out on players, gets cap relief because of that when players miss time through injury. They’ll be more to their posturing linked to cash/cap or whatever.

    Not sure I see a consensus. Definitely 5-6 guys worthy of a top 7 selection, the point being about what might be left when we’re on the clock at #7. That’s a very narrow field I’d say, based on forum opinion.
