  1. McCloughan's draft plan

Just looking at the draft value chart used for trades, the skins could trade down to somewhere around the 10th or 12th pick for the other team's second rounder. That would give the skins 3 picks in the mid/high first 2 rounds. That is a great place for lineman to be the BPA. Of course it...
  2. McCloughan's draft plan

I hope they don't take a receiver at 5. I think of all the teams that haven't been very good with stud receivers taken high, Lions, Texans, Falcons...I haven't even looked the draft but if there's a stud NT BPA at 5 would be great! I could also envision them trading down to add picks. Low...
  3. Item Number 1 on the Agenda for new GM: The Redskins need an Identity

This is very interesting information. For years we've heard that Snyder is very passionate about wanting to win and will spare no expense to do so. Obviously what you're saying here doesn't back that up at all. It does support however the idea that Snyder is willing to spend the big bucks...
  4. Item Number 1 on the Agenda for new GM: The Redskins need an Identity

I'm going to go against the grain here and so no to BPA for the Skins in this year's draft. The reason being the Redskins have neglected the oline so much for the last decade that it has to take priority. I'm saying trade down to the bottom half of the first round, pick up a second or maybe...
  5. Item Number 1 on the Agenda for new GM: The Redskins need an Identity

The answer to that is pretty simple imo: The Redskins have been very weak in certain areas in recent years. The oline has been so weak in pass protection the last few years that it's really rendered the rest of offense inept. QB play has also been pretty bad, but it'shard to know how much of...
  6. PFT: Report: Scot McCloughan expected to be the new G.M. in Washington

I agree with this 100% and don't really have a problem with Snyder or any owner being involved. My problem is how Snyder has managed the team.
  7. PFT: Report: Scot McCloughan expected to be the new G.M. in Washington

Did you make it through the whole article? Clearly Snyder was more involved than dinner and talking shop according to Gibbs. Again, the fact that Snyder has to proclaim his "handsoffedness" every so often says a lot.
  8. PFT: Report: Scot McCloughan expected to be the new G.M. in Washington

The fact that Snyder made a statement saying he was going to be hands-off ought to tell you something. What other owner does that? The fact that the Redskins have been saying one thing and doing something else as Henry said since Snyder bought the team should also tell you something. The...
  9. Item Number 1 on the Agenda for new GM: The Redskins need an Identity

Another identity trait I am really hoping for is a real dedication to developing home-grown talent. Guys drafted in mid to late rounds and undrafted FAs. I think the team has tried to do this in recent years, but really hasn't been successful enough with it.
  10. Item Number 1 on the Agenda for new GM: The Redskins need an Identity

Before a single player is cut or signed, before a single discussion is had about the draft, Scot mcCoughan and Jay Gruden must decide on what the identity of this team is going to be, and how they're going to build that identity. It's one thing to say it, but it's a whole other thing to...
  11. PFT: Report: Scot McCloughan expected to be the new G.M. in Washington

LOL...are you serious? I love the hire. I think McCloughan is very, very good, but I am not convinced Snyder won't find a way to screw this up. I feel better about the team's situation then I did last week, but I'm still going to be skeptical until I see the real results. I have zero doubts in...
  12. If Its Not A Rebuild Its Not Going To Work

This imo has been the real problem with the Redskins for many years now. I actually believe that the Redskins have been pretty decent at finding decent players in the mid rounds in recent years, the problem has been they've all be LBs, corners, and TEs. When you look at the Redskins draft...
  13. MMQB:Any Sense of Stability is Sacrificed

You guys debating whether the failure is Gruden's fault or RG3's fault are really missing the point. It's all of their faults. Gruden completely failed to adapt an offense to RG3's strengths, and to manage Griffin's attitude, ego, study habits ect. Griffin failed to put the hours in to refine...
  14. Skins Quotes 12/10

I am starting to agree with you on this, but why? I do not agree with your earlier posts that it's personal for Gruden. For me there has to be another reason.
  15. Is Gus Frerotte the greatest quarterback the Redkins drafted in the last 26 years ?

Gus was on the way to being pretty good until he smashed his own head against the wall against the Giants.
  16. Skins Quotes 12/5: Jay Gruden

LOL at Gruden referring to RG3 as the backup QB every chance he got...good lord what a mess. The characters are all different but it's the same old story with this team...
  17. PFT: Gruden says the “clock’s ticking” on Griffin

Yeah McCoy wasn't perfect by any means, but he was a hell of a lot better than RG3, and the stats, film, and eye test during the game all back that up.
  18. PFT: Gruden says the “clock’s ticking” on Griffin

Anybody remember this guy(lol at the pic): http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/ryan-leaf-released-from-prison-in-montana-222627112.html
  19. PFT: Gruden says the “clock’s ticking” on Griffin

Except that McCoy is making the reads behind the same line. I agree with you 100% that the line is a huge problem, but RG3 has got to get that ball out. I will say though that the hits his has been taking behind that line for the last 3 years is probably why his confidence is so bad.
  20. PFT: Gruden says the “clock’s ticking” on Griffin

Sharpe really trashed him, going through every different aspect, from his personal life to his endorsements to his study habits. Sharpe comes off like a moron to me, but he has one of my all time favorite mic'd up soundbytes: Somebody call the national guard because we are killin' the...
