    The 2026 Free Agency Thread

So Jordan MaGee did play 40% of snaps most of the season. It's not like the team doesn't know what he's capable of. I do think he's got more potential to be a quality starter...but not Sonny Styles potential. I have no problem with how the Wagner/Magee/Luvu situation played out. Wagner hit that...

Welcome to Washington Allen, Gulbin, and Kaliakmanis,

I'm psyched about any RB that has good vision. Alfred Morris was most dangerous with RG3 taking the league by surprise. Jayden is better. There's a real chance he can provide consistency without breaking any long runs. The stats for converting on 3rd and short vs 3rd and long are wildly...

    Welcome to Washington Sonny Styles!

Oh whatever, that was literally 30 of 32 second rounders all had the exact same drama. That was a league wide abnormality. Not indicative of Commanders being weird.

    Welcome to Washington Sonny Styles!

Us? No way. We've had none of that drama. That's being a little overly paranoid. We're not the Bengals or Chargers. I feel like we sign them roughly when the rest of the league does.

    Welcome to Washington Antonio Williams!

Thanks, I've been meaning to look at his 2024 stuff, just never got around to it yet.
  6. Always Commander Never Captain

Welcome to Washington Allen, Gulbin, and Kaliakmanis,

Has he been to the Air&Space at Udvar Hazy? It's got the Enola Gay and a catwalk so you can peer into it. Wonder how much of the insides of it looks like how he remembers. It seems so...uncomfortable and stripped down compared to stuff just done a few decades later.

    Welcome to Washington Antonio Williams!

I hated that, he didn't deviate from it much either. Like I get doing it for a bit for a rookie QB to help their reads out. But at a certain point it's just creating artificial limitations because you don't know how to have a QB do otherwise. He had Caleb and Kyler as QB's, those two needed...

    Welcome to Washington Antonio Williams!

If we can line up Williams against a safety playing off like in that first play, he can absolutely tear up some vertical routes. He's got potential to play above expectations if the scheme can set him up. So that part gives actual hope he can be a productive rookie.

    Welcome to Washington Sonny Styles!

Yes and no. The weird thing is that while Ohio State had an all time great college defense, it did not do so by highlighting any one player specifically. So a lot of those guys have potential to do even more than what was shown, but they did not need to in college because the overall talent on...

    Welcome to Washington Sonny Styles!

That is wild, sounds a lot different than the 2024 Top Golf.

    The 2026 Free Agency Thread

It's been 6 months since anybody related to football, personal trainer, personal coaches, whoever have even been able to talk to him. The rumors about what is going on with Aiyuk are all over the place. Nobody knows anything about his physical or mental states. All we know is that he doesn't...

If he's on the Reserve/DNR list, then that doesn't matter. He would not count against the roster.

It's so unclear. But teams also use that list for when guys retire? It's not like teams have to do that every year for every retired person that still had a contract ongoing right? So it's confusing.

    The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Yeah, it does unfortunately. Shanahan offense love the decoy. It helps them forcefeed their star talent. There are still ways to attack a defense that try to ignore the decoy, such as run another route on a double move to the area behind the decoy that a safety is now ignoring. But it's all...

    The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Oh yeah, the Z is for sure going to be the "decoy guy running clearing routes" on almost all of their snaps. That means slightly better matchups, targets, routes etc for everyone else. If we have a better run game than last season, the passing offense can still function well. It's not ideal, but...

    The 2026 Free Agency Thread

He is already on the Res/DNR report list. The 49ers put him on that list back in December. He had, I think 5 days to report to get the rest of his 2025 salary back. He did not. It took extremely little for him to get a few more game checks, all he had to do was show up at rehab in the mornings...

    The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 3

What if all that leaking to Keim and others about Delane was to ensure a team desperate for a corner would trade up for him and let Styles/Tate/whoever drop?

    The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 3

It takes more than one to tango. 49ers have to agree too.

    2026 UDFA Thread.

Rooting so hard for this new Fred Davis to let us forget the old Fred Davis. Who was best remembered for having a messy legal battle with a DC Madam.

    The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 3

Ok...I'm getting some similar vibes of Alfred Morris with Kaytron Allen. Neither have anything close to breakaway speed, but both have surprising wiggle for the lack of speed. Big into a two foot plant cut.
