You would think that you would learn not to insult people after being 100% wrong about Wentz.
But some people never learn.
I told you that Heinicke was better than Wentz 18 months ago and I was 100% correct. Therefore, this "simple" guy has a much better batting average than you do.
And...
Too bad none of that is relevant.
Heinicke doesn't have to play another down in his NFL career....and he will STILL be in the NFL longer than Howell will be.
Heinicke can play and Howell cannot. It's that simple.
Maybe you can explain why Heinicke was able to win on this sorry team, but...
Howell has no future as a starting QB after this season. Brissett came in the game last Sunday and showed everyone immediately what the problem has been on offense all season -- Sam Howell.
Howell is so bad that he wouldn't even be a backup QB on most NFL teams. And if he keeps crapping the...
I don't even know what this means. Books have been written about backup QBs playing better than starting QBs?? Whatever.
Brissett is obviously a better QB. Howell is so bad that he wouldn't even be a backup QB on most teams.
The only reason Howell is still starting is that the imbecile...
There is no more Howell question. His career as an NFL starting QB is over after this season. That Rams game was a total debacle.
If Howell is not careful, he's going to end up out of football just like Wentz.
It was like night & day when Brissett replaced Howell. The irony is that if...
Howell is a big reason why this team is 4 - 9. He leads the NFL in sacks, interceptions, and pick 6s......so how could he not be largely responsible?
Howell has the same problem that Wentz had last year.....he holds the ball too long and takes too many sacks. As a result, offensive drives...
The Commodes were far from perfect last year....but Heinicke had a 5 - 3 - 1 record and would have led this team to the playoffs if Rivera wasn't a total imbecile.
Heinicke was far better than both Wentz and Howell and there is simply no comparison.
Howell leads the NFL in sacks, INTs, and pick 6s....including pick 6s in the past 3 games. In fact, he may break the NFL record for sacks because he holds the ball too long.
It's ludicrous that you would call that "amazing".
If you can't beat the NFL doormats like the Bears and Giants, then you can't be a starting QB in the NFL.
It's literally that simple.
And it's not just that the Commodes lost those games, but Howell played extremely bad in all 3 games against the Bears and Giants.
So Howell's learning curve gets to stretch into eternity? At some point, Howell has to win the winnable games against the bad teams. And he hasn't done it, at least not enough.
This team had one of the easiest schedules in the NFL during weeks 1 - 11 and the best Howell could do was 4 - 7...
Competent QB play matters. It's the most important position on the field, by far.
Heinicke wins at least 2 of those 3 games against the Giants and Bears....Heinicke NEVER lost to bad teams during 2021 & 2022.
It doesn't matter if you are a 2nd year QB or a 10 year veteran.....a starting QB cannot go 0 - 3 against the worthless 2 - 8 Bears and the worthless 0 - 4 Giants.
Howell had to win at least two of those three games to stake his claim as a future starting QB for this team. Instead, he played...
Howell had a big sack problem in college...and that sack problem has followed him to the NFL. This a major reason why he was a 5th round draft pick.
Hurts did not have sack problems in college and he does not have sack problems now. And Aikman did not have a sack problem in college, either...
You say Heinicke is a "pretty good NFL backup". Yet he did something that neither Wentz nor Howell seemed to be capable of doing, and that is win games.
And the objective of football, obviously, is to win.
And the main reason that Heinicke won games is simple -- he made much better...
The Giants only scored 14 points in the first game. The offense could only score 7 points. That is inexcusable against a 2 - 8 team and Howell deserves a lot of blame for that.
This team only scored 3 points against the Bills, 10 points against the Cowboys, and 15 points yesterday against the...
I'm not buying the defense part. People were saying last year that the defense was bad, when Wentz was QB at the beginning of the season. However, Wentz was a big part of the problem -- he couldn't get any first downs and the Commodes defense was constantly on the field. And when the defense...
I remember Trent Green....and he was MUCH better than Howell. Green did not make nearly as many bad mistakes as Howell does.
Howell has thrown a pick 6 three weeks in a row and he leads the NFL in sacks and INTs. He is not the future of this franchise.
What I would like to know is why...
The Commodes should not even come out for the second half. Seriously.
Rivera's defensive adjustments have worked out very nicely. LOL.
Can he fire himself as defensive coordinator???
