    NFL Playoffs Thread

Maye's supporting cast certainly improved, but it's hardly anything special. The area they upgraded the best was their OL, which went from dead last in the NFL in 2024 (per PFF and others) to about middle of the pack or a bit better in 2025. Not a great line, but not dreadful. He also had one of...

Yeah I preferred Maye during the leadup to the draft as well. I liked JD, but had concerns about his durability and whether his system (and being surrounded by elite talent) would translate into the NFL. The former concern is still valid and up in the air, and he pretty much nullified concerns...

    NFL Playoffs Thread

So just to be clear, the guy who led his team to a Super Bowl in his second season, led the league in QBR, was named an All-Pro, is in the top 2 of almost every single list of QBs for the 2025 season, and is the favorite to win NFL MVP (though it seems almost neck and neck with Stafford)....is...

Playing JD wouldn't have made any sense. Especially if, as burgold mentioned, Quinn knew he was going to can Kingsbury. By the time JD was even close to able to play, we were out of the playoffs. I know he wanted to play really badly, which makes sense because he's an extremely competitive...

So you're just going to pivot and say you were only talking about the playoffs. I'm curious if you're even capable of admitting that Maye has legitimately been a stud this season without either 1) finding some way to denigrate him by hedging or with a backhanded compliment or 2) finding a way to...

This is ridiculous. Trent Dilfer threw for 13 TDs and 11 INTs with a 59% completion rate during his SB year. Maye threw for 31 TDs and 8 INTs with a 72% completion rate and had the #1 QBR in the NFL in his and is an All-Pro in his 2nd year. Dude is Josh Allen lite right now. He's already looking...

Just shut him down for the season. We were never going to the playoffs anyway. Also take the time to evaluate which coaches should stay and which should go. Both our offense and defense are painful to watch right now. So something needs to change there. As for Maye, I was one of the people who...

Bears @ Commanders - Day After Thread

Offensively, the turnovers were killers, especially the last one. However, JD looked very good outside of the bad early INT and the botched handoff (though it seems he and Bill are both somewhat to blame, even though JD took responsibility). Our defense was just piss poor. Absolutely couldn't...

2025 Washington Commanders- All Things Offense

It's great to hear that they like what Sinnott is doing in the blocking game, but it's still a bit disappointing that even with Ertz losing a step this year from last, Sinnott apparently hasn't yet earned having plays drawn up for him and only has 1 reception thus far this season. I'm sure he's...

Tell the Truth Friday- Commanders @ Packers Edition

Defense was meh, offense was abysmal. I get that it's hard to do the right things with a lot of pressure, but I don't think that's all there is to JD's issues. He just doesn't look the same and didn't against the Giants as well. He seemed indecisive with the ball, slower than before (didn't they...

    Official Game Thread - Week 2 - Commanders @ Packers - TNF

Hard to do much when you're only given the ball 4 times. And yeah, McLaurin is basically invisible right now. Dude is making about $5 million per catch at this rate.

    Official Game Thread - Week 2 - Commanders @ Packers - TNF

Are you saying we should be asking the Packers what being a contender feels like? Because we are not a contender. The final score was beyond illusory. At no point were we any threat. We looked listless, outplayed, outcoached, and out-prepared. The defense from Sunday was a mirage and the...

    Official Game Thread - Week 2 - Commanders @ Packers - TNF

Yeah I kinda feel like I did against the Bucs and Lions in the playoffs. Both tough games on the road. Winnable, but also very losable if we don't bring our A game. So we can't be as rusty as we were against the Giants and expect much.

    Official Game Thread - Week 2 - Commanders @ Packers - TNF

Because they're a very good team, it's a short week, and it's away. We're good too, but if our offense is rusty again like it was on Sunday then it's not going to work out like it did against the Giants.

Official Game Thread - Week 1 - Giants @ Commanders

Unless our offense cleans up, the Green Bay game could be ugly. The offense wasn't awful, but they weren't good. As JD said, they were sloppy. He also didn't quite look like himself. Timing seemed a bit off. Hopefully that's just a product of getting back into real game mode again.

Kyle Long didn't care very much for that scathing article about Caleb. However, he didn't necessarily dispute the reports (he's retired so wouldn't really know one way or the other), just that people are saying that stuff anonymously to reporters and the idea that Caleb is a lost cause...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Yeah he wasn't much of a talent evaluator, but IMO he was actually a pretty good play designer. I remember watching some of the All-22 and the plays looked pretty creative and guys were often getting open. But we didn't have the QB to take advantage of it (and he refused to recognize that fact)...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Taylor Heinicke is what happens if you take Colt McCoy and give him even less arm strength. He's very limited in what he can run in an offense because any out route turns into a possible interception and any intermediate shots down the middle turn into murder balls.

Yeah I tend to take pieces that brutal with a grain of salt, but if even half of it is true, that's incredibly damning.
