Congrats, he is the starter. Allegretti can’t even practice long enough to confirm that he sucks.

Cowboys can find talent but starting to become very poor contract negotiators.

    Random Commanders Thoughts

I wonder if limited FA spending is due to Harris et. al., being cash constrained.

2025 Washington Commanders- All Things Offense

I think it kept us more or less in the same place as 2023. The team has made very few long term commitments, so they could bounce back in 2026 with the right group and good coaching.

While a 10 sack/year player would be nice, that asking price is crazy. The playoffs have shown a stronger team defense is better than an individual player.

I read this to mean we may have to overpay, but that is why they have all that cap space. If we bring in younger players, at least they have the chance to improve if they aren't a hit in year 1.

David Blough and the Offensive Staffing Thread

This is a profound comment. While I'm sure coordinators and assistants want to make a name for themselves, walking into a stable, up and coming situation is always preferred. The shine of new ownership has worn off. We have no obvious building blocks on defense, and our promising offensive...

Thank You, Adios and Via Con Dios Zach Ertz

Ertz clearly out-performed expectations. It sucks for him not go out on his own terms.

    Official Game Thread - Week 13 - SNF - Broncos @ Commanders

The plan has been to count on JD to carry the team and have the other young players emerge while the vets provide the baseline performance. Unfortunately the vets became injured, exploited, or ineffective, while the youngsters did not grow sufficiently. We need a legit defensive cornerstone...

2025 Washington Commanders- All Things Offense

I feel bad for Coleman. On top of the changes, he is also injury prone. He looked solid to good at tackle last year but Tunsil is a better player. Unless they think Paul is more lucky than good, he should absolutely be a priority signing. I would argue more than Tunsil given that Coleman...

How will you 'fan' the rest of the way - pray for wins or hope to lose out?

I can never hope for a loss, because winning or trying to win is a habit. However if they lose, I can rationalize that they earned the better draft position.
