    2026 53-Man Roster Thread

If Mariota goes on IR, this solves a lot of headaches. Assuming Jayden never gets hurt...

Only fungible guy there is Burks (if he's the 6th WR). Do you drop him to keep that 5th CB?

    2026 Commanders Training Camp

Also their usage wasn't part of the scheme. So they've been doing one thing all training camp and then got put into a different scheme (practically) for 1 series.

    2026 Injury Updates

Looks like Allegretti and Bates are returning to practice Tuesday.

Official Game Thread - Preseason Week 1 - Dolphins @ Commanders

His feet aren't quite quick enough to capitalize on what he's seeing (my guess here). So he needs better blocking to give his feet a smidgen more leeway. You see on some runs with slightly better blocking that he is capable of forcing defenders into poor arm tackles where he can push through...

Disagree a bit. Trading for Tunsil still made sense for Coleman at OT. Switch him to RT and voila. The Conerly draft pick just threw a wrench into everything. Coleman had a quality rookie year at OT. By that I mean (I think this was PFF analysis) that most 1st round OT's that weren't busts had...

Do the Commanders have trade bait?

Newton would fetch us a 7th round pick swap. There's no point unless we know he isn't making the team.

Official Game Thread - Preseason Week 1 - Dolphins @ Commanders

The Sonny Styles clip made it clear none of the players there were playing the scheme they were all training camp. That opening drive Miami had is not indicative of how that would go with the same personnel in the regular season.

So how did Gulbin look last night?

Difficult to judge some of the WR when Hartman was in. He missed quite a few guys who were open. Including on the Interception, I think McCaffrey was wide open (although haven't rewatched it to confirm

Team is having Robert Henry field punts to see if he can take Jaylin Lanes job.

Official Game Thread - Preseason Week 1 - Dolphins @ Commanders

Mariota has an injury, you can't cut Hartman now. You need arms in preseason. If Mariota is really hurt, they'll sign a QB. But for the season, if Mariota starts on IR...they absolutely should just go Kaliakmanis (sp?) and Daniels as the only 2. That would be ideal and solve the awkward 4 TE, 4...

Only problem is Henry is tiny. 5'9 and 195? You want him in a committee, definitely no bellcow touches.

Oh, who doesn't love a runner with vision. That was supposed to be what Kaytron Allen did well, but Robert Henry can capitalize.

Well now we have the most accurate depth chart so far, it's the inactives as sure fire 1st string. Reaves and Bill won their starting roles.

Steroid is minimum of 4 still right? So it can't be that.

    The 2026 Free Agency Thread

If you're going deep into WR lists, the back guys need to play special teams or they will be inactive on game day. If you already think they will be inactive, then maybe their roster spot goes towards defense instead.

    Dolphins @ Commanders 8/12 - Joint Practice

With Tunsil at LT and Coleman at LG, yes. A chance for a big surprise. But the run game might struggle. Chris Paul at LG last year was basically elite at pass protection while also maybe being the worst run blocking Guard in the league. Run game is still a huge question mark.

    Dolphins @ Commanders 8/12 - Joint Practice

Burks must have been open via scheme and blown coverage. He's not wowing anyone with his speed as he might be the slowest WR on the roster. I did see some posts from Miami reporters saying coverage wasn't even that bad, the ball was just pladed on the exact wrong spot for the DB to contest...
