    I think it does. All teams have the same cap space as a base number. We’ve still got the second most left, or there abouts. Saving it for another day. Something doesn’t sit right, IMO, but I appreciate we have differing perspectives.

    Been a while since I looked at this, but I thought the required spend under the CBA was a cash spend % compared to the cap level, which is very different to having to utilise that noted % of cap space. Could be very wrong on that though.

    We shouldn’t even be debating cash and cap, or whether getting Pierce would have impacted other FA signings. The disappointing key point would be the notion that we have ownership that wish to operate within such financial constraints.

    Well if he’s after 20m per year, no way that ever fits into a 1 year contract. You’ve pretty much got to go 3/50+ and hope the front end 35m over 2 years is money well spent.

    I’m sure teams are looking to shift veterans players post draft, AP needs to be on the phone tracking down some WR and CB options. Solid draft with Sonny landing for us, still plenty of work to be done for AP to win me over.

    Well he passes the uneducated eye test to me. Looks a bit unrefined and technically ‘loose’, but I get an undercurrent of edge to his character, chip on his shoulder over his perception on draft position, kinda think you wind him up and let him go. 5th rounder, sounds like a decent investment.

    Slim pickings indeed. Rasul Douglas not listed as he’s heading towards the grand old age of 32 looks the best option available to me. Kenny Moore also available for trade too, late round pick, although not sure that fits the specific need.
