    It seems to my novice eye that they have the best collection. I've been to Bourbon, Smoke and Barrel, and Irish Whiskey Public House. The Irish place really opened my eyes to Irish whiskeys (What? There's more than Jameson out there?) and the bartender really seemed to know what he was talking...

    It's ridiculously priced. The Macallan 25 was $150 and the Macallan 30 was $200. I've had the 25 in a Boston restaurant for less than half that. I just ordered the cheapest of HOF's highly recommended because I really badly wanted to try it and I was already there. I'm sure you can find...

    And FYI Lanky, this restaurant is one of those seriously fancy, overpriced places. Top 10 restaurant in the country kind of thing, so they obviously charge a premium on everything. But I've never seen the Weller at any restaurant before. Took my opportunity.

    I know....but I decided to just go for it. I had it neat and it was abolsutely amazing! The best bourbon I've ever tasted. I liked it even better than the Stagg Jr., and I love that stuff.

    Special occasion...Inn at Little Washington. They also had Eagle Rare 17, Jefferson Presidential 18, Pappy's, Macallan 30. I couldn't afford to try all of them, especially at their prices, so I went with the Weller. I think it was $27. I know......but I had to try it!

    So, I have the Stagg Jr. at home and I got to try some of the William Larue Weller barrel strength at a restaurant. Both amazing! Is the proof about the same?
