    Definitely agree our state laws are stupid when it comes to firearms. Fortunately small, rural, red counties and their sheriffs are usually happy to have more responsible citizens carrying.

    No, you can get a CC in California regardless. There doesn't have to be a state-approved "legitimate" reason. But yes, like Boone said, it's up to the sheriff...and the sheriff's my neighbor, so he better approve my family! :) Plus, you lived in this area Mike, it's pretty pro-gun. ;)...
