    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Uh.. wouldn’t that be good for the team though? That Terry is motivated to get this deal done rather than just that scenario? I guess there is always the possibility for this to degenerate into one of those situations where the player and team have hard feelings for each other (Bengals and...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I think Terry is much closer to "great" than 'good" based on his performance with a string of below-average QBs and balling out the one year he had a star. He also contributes a lot to the culture, and obviously is a high priority for extension. It's not like the team has no leverage though...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I guess I am skeptical of extending Deebo and Daron for the same reason; they both played lights out during their last contract year and regressed to good-but-not-great after they got paid. Lattimore concerns me more for his injury history than his competitiveness. We shall see. I do trust...

The 2025 Offseason Camp Thread *Tweet HEAVY*

Like Daron, Deebo will be in shape and perform better than expectations because it’s a contract year. I believe the coaches are smart enough to encourage this and I hope AP is smart enough to not bring them back next season for the big $ contract they may think they deserve. I’m not...

    Random Commanders Thoughts

I guess anything is possible but it looks more likely to me it’s just the no news time of the NFL year and these guys are desperate for anything to write about. I mean, there are no real consequences for posting straight-from-neatherland BS and as long as they get read then that’s $ in their...

The 2025 Offseason Camp Thread *Tweet HEAVY*

Yeah he definitely should be here but to be fair, we don’t know what his motive is until we get more information as it plays out. I think I read somewhere he has a history of staying out of voluntary minicamps. If it’s his ego or he wants more $ then it’s a bad problem, more for him than us...

I guess my expectation is he may return to form but it won’t last long before he’s injured.

    The Stadium Thread

Some of the naysayers on the council may just be treating this as an opening bid, trying to squeeze a little more from Harris. Doesn’t mean they won’t back off if he doesn’t budge. I’d guess they could take a symbolic get and posture to their constituents about how tough they were representing...

    The 2025 Draft Thread

Don’t most tight ends take a year or so to develop? Guess the results this year will tell. Good news is the coaches and front office see what is actually there. I’ll bet if he is on the final roster he is good enough to start next year.

    The 2025 Draft Thread

If they think he does have possibilities as a pass catcher (or he can be developed as such) they may be thinking of him as an eventual replacement for Ekler, not necessarily to be the new bell cow.

    UDFA thread

There’s still room for depth signings, particularly at safety and interior OL. More likely any guys that show talent can safely develop on the practice squad and fill in backup or even starter roles next year as we start to move on from the one-year vet signings that are currently filling holes.

Just saw this. Some of these guys have a legitimate shot at making the team, starting with safety. More assurance AP is addressing depth. https://commanderswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/commanders/2025/04/27/nfl-draft-washington-commanders-undrafted-free-agents/83306798007/

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Yeah the article said he had a limited sample size, 35 carries. It is more about the stat fits what we see when he powers over people. If he were a preseason rookie he would be the next fan heartthrob, so I guess he doesn’t show out in practice/training camp. Just can’t see why he isn’t the...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I've been puzzled by their usage of CRod for a couple of years now. I assumed when he was drafted he would be a good backup/eventual replacement for BRob since their power back running styles and SEC record were similar, and in the limited times he has been on the field he has looked that way...

What to do about the trenches?

Agree. I see Herbig as a better version of Deiter and Deiter as a camp/emergency body. Don't think he will be on the final roster. Tunsil, Allagretti, Biadasz, Wylie, Coleman. Not sure when Cosmi gets back but he may take a while to recapture his old effectiveness anyhow so can't count on...

Yah I get that’s the plan. Hope it works but still takes agreement on what he’s worth and what we can afford. My point is if they don’t agree after this year then what? I guess I got too gunshy after the way our previous owner handled things. I’ll get over it, just takes time.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

No surprise Tunsil Likes to get paid lol. I mean, family first and all that. I would be fine with what AP gave up for even a 2 year rental at his level of play; as several have pointed out it’s like having an extra lineman as to blocking assignments. Hopefully we will get him extended after...

What is Wylie’s record as a LT? I know he was a decent guard.
