Would love to get faster at LB in addition to grabbing an EDGE (to me, THE top priority in the draft followed by WR).
After that, just build depth at all three levels on D. I think Daron Payne is entering a contract year - probably why he's played so well this season. Based on his track...
For draft picks, if possible.
The "sign over the hill vets on one year contracts to take advantage of JD's rookie contract" experiment has failed. Let's do it the right way and rebuild this team with youth.
Agreed. Even he balled out this year, we should have been thinking along those lines.
Only problem is that we'll need to use our 1st rounder on a true EDGE.
Ale Kaho looks really good. Speed doesn't pop on film but seems to get the job done and good at open field tackling.
Magee on the other hand doesn't really stand out on that video - maybe I'm just not appreciating the nuance but I don't see what all the fuss is about. Also, dude needs to get on...
I hate ... like, really hate the "W" ....
Would almost rather no logo than the "W". Or at least go back to the number on the side of the helmets. I actually really liked the old school feel to that.
At this point, I hope we don't make any more trades.
I think we need to keep what draft picks we still have. If anything, I'm hopeful that if we decide not to keep Payne after this season, we trade him for a few picks provided Johnny Newton starts to develop/ball out.
I don't like the W and I don't like the new color scheme.
Harris and co, while they said they weren't changing the name, did suggest that they would redesign the look/feel of the uniforms as a nod to the history of the franchise. I hope they can come up with something better than the W. Even if...
Good points, all.
Regarding "Year Two", I think the biggest weakness of our D last year was stopping the run. It's possible the FO is simply tuning out the noise and focusing on what they also viewed as most urgent. We are fortunate that we may have also improved our secondary significantly...
OG is now a much more important position given the dominance Philly has shown in the interior LOS. Wouldn't be upset if we drafted one in the 1st/2nd rounds.
Really disappointed to see the tweets from Dante Fowler (also heard Dyami Brown had re-tweeted Dante's frustrated tweets). I'm guessing that neither of them come back now. Was optimistic for Fowler, less so for Dyami.
Oh well, I'm more a fan of stocking up on young talent despite the narrative...
Thoughts on Bhayshul Tuten? Highlights on YouTube look pretty good but I did see him nearly get caught from behind twice. Maybe he doesn't go full gas when he thinks he's gonna score?
