    At this point, I want our young players to play well, and the team to look interested and competitive, in what is ultimately a loss. Best of both worlds. Shows heart, and we ultimately get a top tier pick we can use to really improve the team after a lost season.

    This team at full strength is probably 5-3. We're not exactly the deepest team anyway, but getting shredding with injuries from the jump isn't exactly the recipe for a successful year.

    At least I made $250 on a few betting props that hit. Mahomes/Mariota 25+ rushing yards each, and McLaurin over 46 yards receiving. It was the only joy in a predictable, and equally frustrating, loss.

    This is a big difference between them and us. I just did a quick comparison, and if SF had given up the same number of points each week that we have given up, they'd be 2-5 instead of 5-2. Four of their seven games they've given up 20 points or fewer. That's winning defense.

    3rd and 5 on the Bears' final drive, and we run the softest zone I've ever seen. Guys aren't even guarding the sticks; they're three damn yards beyond it. Is the scheme really calling for this? Fire Whitt into the sun if that's the case.
