Throw in Brandon Aubrey and I'd be stoked. That would be a nice haul, although I don't really trust Otton to do much on offense, but that's just my previous experience as his manager in fantasy football talking.
Is a team really hoping they can get Downs to fall to them in the later part of the first round? How do the physicals work? Can a team release something to see if it tanks his stock?
Right, the same people who were clutching their proverbial pearls over the leaks and media pipelines are now upset that we don’t know what is going on? Can’t have your cake and eat it, too.
If we go DE and/or LB in FA, I could definitely see us taking a talent like Love. I recall many people roasting the Lions for picking Gibbs at #9, but I don't think you'll find a critic of that move now. Gibbs is an absolute stud. Love could be our version.
If Blough really is cut from the Ben Johnson cloth, then having a versatile RB (Love) would be a huge factor in the offense. Additionally, look for Ben Sinnott to move to FB/HB. I'm calling it right here. Dude is going to explode in a Chris Cooley type role.
I’d rather pay the premium for Crosby, who seems to be much more durable and more consistent. It’s not like we’d get Hendrickson for a bag of chips and a ham sandwich. He’s going to want a sizable contract and I’m not sure he’s worth that anymore.
I agree, especially if the pass rushing talent at 7 is pretty lackluster. I could see a scenario where Bain and Bailey are both off the board by 7. A Caleb Downs pick makes sense at that point, but a Love pick would be an instant upgrade, day 1 bonafide starter on offense.
