    If we don't make major adjustments against Dallas, then Parsons, Lawrence, & Co are going to eat us alive. Even the more mobile Heinicke had trouble evading them last year. Adjust not just the playcalling, but somehow the blocking as well

    That's a good point, that I hope he realizes. After over-use of a trick play, it's no longer a trick play. If you're going to run frequent trick plays, at least do a variety. The 49ers have been successful with their version of their "Samuel Trick" How do they do it with Deebo ?

    I don't recall Turner throwing Heinicke under the bus. If he did, I missed it. But if he did, that's telling, because he would be the one guy on the team I think would support Heinicke the most. I think he was the one that convinced Ron to bring him here. And he was the only NFL rep that visited...

    Well enough to at least be an immediate backup. He started some games, and played in a total of 42 games for us. He wouldn't have lasted that long, if he wasn't a capable backup. Something must have put him in the dog-house, with Mando.
