    Commanders 2025 Picks

I have no idea how this will work out, but this guy has quick feet and good lateral movement off the snap, you can tell he's athletic. We only have Tunstill for 2 years as of now so maybe a future switch to LT is something the team believes is a possibility. He looks good on both sides.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

We need a weapon in the backfield, someone with speed, wiggle, and can catch. We've been doing the 3rd, 4th rd RBs for a while. They are serviceable but they don't scare anyone. It's the last piece to the puzzle on offense

I was only using them as a reference because eventually that's what we want to be, but you're right, there's no comparison but in 5 years you may see AP in a situation where he can parlay talent we can't keep into draft picks.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

The QB window is 2 more seasons, there's no way AP and the crew can get enough draft pics, develop them, and stay competitive. The Eagles have been drafting and using free agency the way they do for 15+ years. It's going to take 3 or 4 years to start the momentum and get enough draft picks in...

Doesn't effective include a set aside for rookie contracts too?

Because your gut is telling you its ridiculous. I wish him the best but 59 catches over 4 years with his best year being 300 yards. He had 2 fumbles in the playoffs and 1 in each of the last 2 games vs Philly. No thanks at 10MM per yr.

I think it was on B Mitch and Finlay but I heard Ertz say Bates was the best blocking TE he's ever seen. He said he was the closest thing to an actual O lineman.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I wonder how many of these free agents are immediately excluded due to attitude or not fitting our lockeroom culture. We'll never know so we're at a disadvantage as fans. I'm sure some of the players wanted by the fans were never even possible because of this.

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

These are 1 yr deals, who cares about the age. Also, our trades all have about 2 years left on their deals which aligns with when we'll need to pay JD5. I think the FO is playing the only angle they can to feed off of last season and keep us competitive. It's going to take several years of...

    The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Based on how our FO does biz I would think they would have cut Wylie by now if that was something they wanted to do. If he's here he's not going to be on the bench at that cap hit. I wouldn't be surprised if Coleman becomes the swing tackle for next season.

I didn't even think about Coleman moving all the way over to the right side. Hopefully that transition works for him it doesn't always work for everyone.

If we can find a new right tackle I'll have a big smile on my face.

I love the move for the left tackle, why would anybody pay Brown $10 million a year?

I expected us to grab a gap plugger at DT if we went that route, maybe they see someone in the draft who will help our poor run defense.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

Sweat doesn't seem that exciting, I don't think he was top 20 in pass rush win rate.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

One year deals are a great way to stay competitive while you cycle new talent in. We're now getting opportunities at higher end place holders, it's a good thing. The dude did have 12 TDs 2 years ago.

~* Breaking *~ - Commanders trade for Deebo Samuel

I've always felt like theres no such thing as a bad 1 year deal when its for a player whose made an impact. As soon as we cut JA we get $16MM right back.
