It would depend on how close they are on the field for me. But I’d give an advantage to those guys because of specs and they are under contract - something we don’t have a lot of.
But if Brown is playing much better and has a better understanding I’d move on.
It’s all in the performance for me.
I’m not sold that Jefferson IS the odd man out yet. There is potential for anyone after Williams to be the guy left off the roster for a variety of reasons.
Honestly, I hope they keep the best 6. Whoever those six are. The only two who are uncuttable are Terry and Williams.
If a guy like...
I’d be fine signing Diggs for one year and Aiyuk around Sept 1st on a 2 year deal. Gives him this year to get acquainted. Could probably start the season on the PUP.
Keep six receivers:
Terry
Diggs
Aiyuk
Williams
Let the other guys battle for spots 5/6.
Spot 7 would be on the roster for at...
I don’t think it has anything to do with his knowledge. He’s obviously football smart. I just think he’s a bit of a quiet troll that likes to mess with people subtly.
In his shoes, I’d probably get a kick out of starting 10 page conversations on message boards and Reddit threads at times...
Depends on what is happening.
Historically, if we need a win to get in the playoffs we lose…
But if we are in the running for a high draft pick and could use the loss, we win.
I don’t know. Unless something goes incredibly horribly I just don’t see DQ getting let go during the season. I think he’s about as safe as someone with a magma seat could be through the course of the season.
The Diggs situation will be interesting.
If we sign him for a contract that has escalators like that… we aren’t holding cash back.
Which would mean we just aren’t spending it.
If we don’t sign him it’s fairly obvious something else is going on - cash restriction, promises to Aiyuk… something.
He does to me. He says things that anyone that has been around football as much as Paulsen has would know.
For instance: Kliff’s offense held the defense back.
They run scout teams. How would that even be remotely relevant? For a portion of the offseason? Sure. But week to week? No. And he...
I don’t think PFF does a great job with offensive line rankings. But I don’t necessarily fault them. There are obvious things and things that aren’t so obvious that are very scheme and technique specific that are hard to pick up(even for well trained OL coaches as they don’t always know/agree...
I don’t agree that Kingsbury’s was an issue with our defense. That is why you run scout teams.
The issue with our defense was that it sucked.
I think Quinn and Peters may be tied together and they are going to get 5 years regardless. But we’ll see. Not saying I agree. Just saying I think that...
Right. And I’m saying that means they actually offered that to him. Which means they valued him over several other players combined.
Which I do not agree with.
Here’s where someone comes in and says, “BuT u ArE InTaNet PosTa. GM GeT PAiD rEaL MonEYZ to mAkE DeCiSiONs!” (Not directed at you)...
And, I don’t think this is the case to be clear, but this season for Daniels is kind of a big deal. He has to show he can be healthy for the vast majority of the year.
A year we need to find success is a year we reset with inexperienced coaches.
Absolutely. They got Chenal and Styles because he’s not some all pro waiting to happen. But that doesn’t mean he’s bad. Let him develop. See what happens when his number gets called.
Depth is good.
I fail to see why that is relevant. It was also fairly widely reported that if Styles was on the board he was our guy 100%, no matter what. The only conflicting report was potentially Love.
