    DHop, even at his age is far better than they are, imo. Also, this is going to be a recurring theme with a lot of these FA receivers. I think our room is mostly set at this point, barring Aiyuk or anything surprising. I could see Deebo, but they let him walk so that would surprise me.

    Yes, acquiring actual talent while developing young guys. We are partially there. It’s the compiling of other teams throwaways over the years and hoping they pan out that is the shit part. If we did exactly what we were doing but somehow added, say, BTJ… I’d like this room a hell of a lot more.

    But, the elephant in the room is AJ Brown. AJ Brown+Doubs is better than anything they put out last year. Of course, AJ isn’t a Patriot until he is. Compare Doubs to Mack Hollins or Boutte. Thats what he was intended to replace - not Diggs.

    I mean, I’m fine with it. We need someone there. He’s a vet that knows Quinn. There’s not much else out there. We should take that same philosophy at receiver for now. It’s not ideal, but it stops the wound from gushing.
