From what we heard, Tunsil has really taken Conerly and Coleman under his wing. Silver lining would be that Tunsil might be a really good assistant OL coach considering what a technician he is.
I have a feeling it was a bug of the RPO. He only wanted hand it off during an RPO play. I think in it's most basic form, The Quarterback keeps, runs wide, or hands the ball off on a dive play.
Can’t argue there.
I don’t know how many times I yelled at my TV screen begging them to run something other than a dive play. When you got a twitchy, fast running back you can occasionally run a play off tackle or even wide.
Yeah, I don't know. I thought I remembered hearing some positive stuff about Mike, too. Don't remember where or when though. I'd love him to have a bounce back year from a down sophomore season.
(Semi-related) One thing I've been wondering about is how the confusion Jones' system seems to cause...
I'm not sure if Mike is doing badly either. One of the recurring riffs I keep hearing is, Daniels with a perfect throw. So, is the problem Mike being out of position/beat or Daniels being great? I think we'll begin to discover the answer tomorrow. I don't think the Dolphins' QBs are on Daniels'...
Yep. We need probably two higher end backups. Guys capable of being spot starters at least.
I think we've been trying to find another guard/center don't know if we landed the one we need and now we need another tackle.
I'd imagine being under center by itself probably helps. The D doesn't get to pin its ears back and always attack the same point. QB can drop to different depths. There's more confusion as to whether it's a running or passing play. Heck, the motion may help in diagnosing pressure, too.
Been thinking about this and wasn't sure where to put it so why not here.
The offense getting to practice against such an aggressive, confusing scheme may lead to a fast start. Other teams may have some better players, but Vic Fangio's schemes are relatively vanilla. Our offensive players may...
Me being me, I'm going to wait until we get the doctor's report. I'm not sure how good the equipment is at the facility. I am preparing for the worst, but maybe an MRI reveals the tear not as bad as feared or something else entirely.
I hope we give Coleman an honest chance. I think he'll show out for us. More, I don't really trust our former o line coach's judgment. Maybe the new guys will be able to see something/develop Coleman into something.
Not insider info, but Stephens seems to be moving ahead. Moody has missed a few kicks in each of the last few rounds. The next important test will be to see how each does under the "pressure" of a preseason game. I'd imagine Moody should feel less pressure since he's been there before...
