That's funny I was thinking the same thing! I like Crompton, he went to highschool about 15 min from my house and I work with both of his sisters but that being said I really hope he is not part of the QB plan in 2012 other than being the 3rd QB.
There is absolutely a risk in picking up Flynn. However to El's point it would be nice to have another draft like last year while already having an upgrade at QB. In this situation we would probably bring Rex back to be the backup. To me I can see some similarities between Flynn and Matt...
I would think it would be Tannehill 3rd behind Luck and RG3. I like Tannehill and he has a lot of upside but he has only been a QB for a year and a half, so he would need some work. Six would be way too high for him. The only other possibility is Nick Foles out of Arizona. I think he is...
Your right #6 is a prime pick this year. If Luck and RG3 are off the board then that only leaves three other players not avalable to us at six. You think about Trent Richardson, he is probably the only player who could go in that range that we don't really have a need for. That leaves Kalil...
I think I agree with you. Adam Schefter talks about how many first round picks you could get for the #1 overall pick this year. I think the Colts are going to want more picks sooner rather than later to get one more shot at a Superbowl.
Now the real question is, will Shanny morgage the future...
I think the owner has been really vocal about his devotion to Peyton Manning. Basically saying as long as he is healthy he will be a Colt.
It sucks to say this but I am starting to believe that both Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck will be in Indie next year.
I think Shanahan is moving up for Luck! Expect another aggressive Free Agent period and they'll offer the farm for the #1 pick. I think Shanny would trade for Bradford if the Rams did draft Luck but his plan A is Luck himself.

If Shanahan is convinced RG3 is a game changing QB as some of us do then he may still have to trade up to get his man. If we do land at #6, it may be a gamble hoping he falls to us.
I like Tannehill and Foles too but assuming RG3 comes out he has more upside and high on several teams draft board.
