Blondie you having any issues with homertv today? I can't seem to get on...keep getting a virus notification for the site......
Edit. Never mind. Just read your post.
LOL at the Joe Thomas comment. You are probably right...
More than anything it would be great to see a plan to adressing the depth rather than a half hearted effort that includes signing XX journeyman player while the other primary option on the roster is a guy you've apperantly already given...
I did forget about Bridges. I stand corrected, to some degree, on the team's effort to bring in backup O-linemen. I'll admit thought that guys like Bridges don't give me the warm fuzzy feeling about line depth.
How do you reconcile the positives of running Zorn out of town with the concern over Snyder going for another "big splash" coaching hire. Does that concern warrant keeping Zorn around for the sake of (hopeully) building chemistry and continuity?
I'm not sold on Zorn by any means and at this...
I suppose Bulldog is pretty much spot on with the Jansen comparison. The FO was able to assess Jansen's shortcommings with injury and age but unable to do so with Thomas.
Going into the offseason there didn't seem to be a lot of confidence in Rinehart. Makes the draft, and other lack of...
Given the obvious depth/age/injury issues on the line it would have been nice to see the FO take a shot on some late round o-linemen instead of Cody Glenn, Robert Henson, and Eddie Williams.
I hate hind sight crap but I was screaming about this at the time and now the reality of the situation...
Interesting. Hall had a bad night to be sure but I did think he had the correct position on the TD throw.
Hall was right on top of him and Moss/Brady made a great play. Where should Hall have been on that play? I don't know of to many corners that would have stopped that......(but I could...
What is the deal with Thomas? Why didn't he start on Saturday?
Early reports were that he was really comming along in camp so I can either assume:
(1) The coaching staff wanted a better look at Kelly,
(2) The coaching staff simply wanted Kelly to run that fade at the beginning of the...
I was just teasing Blondie. Hindsight is always 20/20 and as Joey T mentioned that was also on Thomas.
Plus, for a number of reasons Collins seems to be a lot more comfortable running the offense than JC. One has to wonder how much rope JC gets in the preason before Zorn gives serious thought...
Interesting commentary on Sweed BTW. There were many that suggested that he should have been drafted instead of Kelly/Thomas/Davis. Developmentally he seems to be in the same place as those three.
Given his relative inexperience at LB I think you need to keep Orakpo on the field a little more than you probably would if he were only lining up at DE....and its only the 2nd quarter. Agreed though that there is a element of, maybe unnecessary, risk having out there at this stage of the game.
I'm getting a little depressed watching this. Orakpo continues to look good but man the offense, under both QBs, hasn't impressed too much. I appreciate the first drive of the game but can't help but think they didn't really "deserve" it given the fake punt.
