    I may have not been clear in my post, but I was responding to a poster who suggested that San Francisco could put him on the non football injury list when he shows up. Basically making the argument that since he didn't show up for rehab he's not fit to play and that's not the team's fault. #1...

    I think that's true... but bonuses still have to be paid. So if he reports and they try to NFI him, they'd still owe him that Sept 1st bonus... so ultimately, they'd still have to cut him. You're correct that they can still play hardball and make his life difficult for the rest of the summer.

    This seems likely, but with one caveat.... they are expecting that there will be cuts during training camp that may be worth picking up... but they are fine working with what they have currently if they need to.

    I think he'd be a legit option, but I'm not super excited about making a trade for him. I'm sympathetic to the fact that he's a boundary player and a guy like Diggs really isn't anymore. I'm just not convinced that it's worth giving up an asset for him over just waiting to see who else comes...
