  1. The true Silver Lining of what we are seeing

It's either the first and only big payday or the very last payday when it comes to head coaches that land in Washington. Zorn was not intentional. It was supposed be Fassel but ES revolted and that somehow influenced Snyder....
  2. Random Commanders Thoughts

If Rivera promises Snyder to be a loyal stooge...he might very well come back...with everything the same. After all, his Carolina cronies got a pension fund to feast on. He's done well in that regard so far.
  3. Random Commanders Thoughts

The Ron Rivera pension fund. He might have fired his own guy just for appearance's sake.
  4. The true Silver Lining of what we are seeing

Being the marketing guy he was, every move he makes has a calculated purpose. It creates news for the fans to whine about...and maybe even trigger some to leave...things that he wants given the ongoing scandal. He may very well also be in a vulnerable position relative to other owners...so...
  5. The true Silver Lining of what we are seeing

Riggo said he had a "dark heart" 13 years ago. He left it vague...but apparently what was vague has become exposed and specific in light of recent events. Him being a fan really doesn't mean much. The "business" matters to him, but also his friends. So that's why he keeps bringing in the likes...
  6. Random Commanders Thoughts

Should be an interesting three-way. :p
  7. The true Silver Lining of what we are seeing

Given that his peers had to pull some strings to help him with getting cover, he owes them a debt for their labor. Sex scandals also have an opening of reviving themselves many years later. The memory of the "Redskins" must be completely fossilized before attempting to make a Super Bowl team...
  8. The true Silver Lining of what we are seeing

Dan Snyder is going to have this team be incognito for the rest of his life, with just a peppering of 9-8 or 10-7 seasons just to revive interest. I doubt we'll even win the division again for a decade. He wants this team in no man's land. No top 5 picks, but no deep playoff runs either.
  9. Random Commanders Thoughts

    We're Walmart Pittsburgh now.
  10. Official Game Thread - Week 4 - Commanders @ Cowboys

Only confirms my long-held suspicion since the Wentz trade that Snyder's a groveling dog the other owners are just ordering him around to do favors for them because of his misconduct.
  11. Wentz-O-Meter: Week 4 at Dallas

The reason Wentz will not be removed is to give Indy the better pick. We can score less than 17 for the rest of the season and Wentz will never leave the starting QB spot.
  12. Random Commanders Thoughts

Why couldn't we have gotten Trubisky to be a tackling dummy?
  13. Random Commanders Thoughts

The one QB away narrative was simply a media fabrication to cover up the direction the owner actually wants from this team, which is towards an irrelevant joke(being named Washington Football Team for two years was part of going in this direction). Going in such a direction neuters the public...
  14. Official Game Thread - Week 4 - Commanders @ Cowboys

Greg Olsen...a throwback to the 70s every time I see him. He's also just a tad annoying to listen to, but not as annoying as Sanchez.
  15. Wentz-O-Meter: Week 3, 2022

A 2.5. For the first half...it's a zero. Every bad aspect of his game but nothing good. Not getting rid of the ball, getting strip sacked, inaccurate throws. He did complete some short passes to start the second and yes, he did exploit the one time Philly busted a coverage to Mclaurin. But...
  16. Official Game Thread - Eagles @ Commanders

Wentz is always going to have peaks. Apparently, people are clingy to those peaks and not his median or average. He is more inaccurate than not, and holding onto the ball is his fault and indicative of a QB who still thinks that he can get away with it when nearly every other QB in the league...
  17. The Bombshell

Reads like a PR stunt to further dent people's attention away.
  18. Official Game Thread - Eagles @ Commanders

Well, what I remember was that Wentz had some magical chemistry with Trevon Diggs. Perfect touchback interceptions.
  19. Official Game Thread - Eagles @ Commanders

If Wentz was smart about making a point that his coaches are setting up to fail, then he should be chucking the ball out of bounds when the pressure is imminent instead of holding on for a tick too long and then getting sacked, which he has been doing for the past few years.
  20. Commanders Coffee #6

Bears, Texans, Cowboys, Falcons. If the Giants lose Daniel Jones and Saquon to injury, the games might be winnable. Even the Titans could have one of those days where Tannehill messes things up, even if they are unlikely. Or Cleveland has another anti-mojo game where they just somehow know...
