    The Jayden Daniels Tracker

Ah I see, I read the part that said the cease and desist letter came in the wake of the jersey number being assigned, must have glanced over that paragraph. I wonder how that squares with the statements attributed to Jayden’s “spokesperson” earlier. ESPN quoted it directly...

It contradicts a lot (about the trophy, his relationship with LSU, etc.), and this does soften the criticism of JD, but the article affirms the key fact: his lawyer sent a cease and desist letter because his jersey number was given to another player. They quoted JD’s statement, no mention of the...

I certainly have my doubts about Jayden and acknowledge it’s largely RG3 PTSD plus a belief we should have taken the other guy. The big worries are about his durability and ego, and there is a growing body of evidence those are not entirely unfounded. Otherwise I like him. He gave us the best...

I do not think propensity means what you think it means, it has to do with internal inclination or predisposition more so than external behavior, so the pattern of behavior may be evidence of a propensity but is not a necessary component. Here’s Gemini’s explanation (the telling example is...

You don’t think he is “behaving as if he is very special or important” in this case? Somebody brought up the Joe Burrow comparison, but Burrow went 15-0 and won a national championship in one of the greatest seasons in football history, Jayden went 9-3 and skipped the bowl game. Maybe this is...

I hate to quibble about semantics, but since you bring it up I’ll explain my meaning. I’m going off the public statement made by his “spokesperson,” which said, “The Daniels family is deeply disappointed and feels profoundly disrespected” by “a failure to honor the significance of his LSU...

Evidently he cares more about his image than his alma mater, I mean how else can you read this? Here’s the statement from his spokesperson, “Jayden made it clear that he did not want his number given to another player, and he believed his wishes would be respected. His Heisman trophy-winning...

Agree completely, it’s hard to see how the damage to his reputation is worth whatever might be gained here. I mean it’s not Brandon Aiyuk’s insanity or Michael Vick’s dogs, but it isn’t a good look either. It comes off as too proud, like he cares more about his image than his alma mater. They...

It certainly doesn’t lessen my concerns about his mom or his own propensity to be a bit of a diva. At best, it is odd, at least I don’t think it’s normal to send cease and desist letters to your alma mater because they did not retire your jersey. Whatever might be gained by this seems outweighed...

    Dolphins @ Commanders 8/12 - Joint Practice

JCM is #22, White is #1, Kaytron is #31, McNichols is #26, Ford is #34. Robert Henry Jr. is #30 I guess, awfully hard to believe he is our “best by a decent margin,” but maybe?

    2026 Injury Updates

Agreed, though the idea we should trade the franchise quarterback to address this perceived lack of talent is on another level of ridiculous. And I’m the guy who doubts Jayden is going to work out long term due to injuries, but a great quarterback is such a rare commodity you have to play out...

I do think Jayden has some chemistry with Dyami, that’s why we brought him back. I really like our wide receivers this year, my biggest concern with that unit is that there aren’t enough balls to go around.

Colemam was playing LG, so moving him back to tackle thins the interior line depth, and Biadasz could have helped that.

That seems like it should be true but isn’t. Jayden only finished 4 games last year, but the team improved from 18th to 8th in allowing the fewest sacks, and still ended the year 4th in the league in rushing. Now maybe Tunsil was a big part of the improvement in sacks, that’s a huge loss.

Wylie has a lot of experience, and I remember him being okay at RT, so he’s a pretty good backup. After him there’s very little, I would guess Trent Scott, who has started 26 games in his career. Give AP credit for having some depth, but it’s being tested now.

I’m glad we still have a vet like Wylie in reserve. It would be nice to have Biadasz now, but oh well. Anybody know anything about Gulbin?

The depth was good, but sadly we’re already testing it before we play a game. It’s nice to have Coleman as an option, but as you say, we were also using him as our backup guard. I think Wylie can play guard, but he’s our back swing tackle now. I know Gulbin played both guard spots in college, so...
