This is still one of the more impressive things I've seen recently. We all thought that cap hit would have killed the Broncos for several years. I feel the same way about the Rams after they sold out to acquire Mathew Stafford. We need an organization that can find really good players in the...
I was in Colorado for a summer with a '79 Mustang. Back then the sunroofs were removable and I had left mine at the house as I drove the mountains. As it tends to do in Colorado a big storm came out of nowhere. I found as I drove the wind for some reason kept the rain out of the car. But it...
So we are in the playoff hunt. Our DT is playing well. And you want to trade him in mid-season and take away a productive player and leave a hole that could derail a playoff season for a future 4th?
I just feel Payne has little value. What do you think is a reasonable return? I'd say a 4th, maybe a 5th. I don't consider a Day 3 pick to be a very valuable asset. And I don't want to leave such a big hole before the season even starts.
I would never extend Payne. I would take advantage of a contract year and tap a motivated player who has shown that he will perform in a contract year. I don't want to go into the season with Kinlaw, Settles and a bunch of DTs who just don't perform. That would handicap this team...
A rookie day 3 pick DT is a warm body, nothing more. Payne at times has played well, especially in a contract year. I'm not ready to leave such a gaping hole on a poor defense over a bit of cap space. They will still absorb a cap hit I believe and they have the cap space this year. I'm not...
I like the cap space they have retained. I am excited at the late signings. Teams always cut players late for cap purposes, I expect us to be ready to pounce.
I'm not ready to trade Payne because he has little value so a small return, he will be motivated in a contract year and other than Settle they haven't signed any DTs so this would leave a hole. I don't anticipate any signings at this point to play better than Payne in a contract year.
I'm not sure I agree with your post that AP did little to help Jayden. He invested a lot to secure a top LT, invested his first round pick to secure the other side and signed Deebo who played well. That was a decent investment in the offense in one off season but obviously he screwed up with...
I know and I love it. Everyone is so down on the Washington Commanders, including the fans. I keep reading how this is a complete rebuild that will take years. It's like everyone is sleeping on just how good Jayden Daniels can be and how he can carry a team pretty damned far.
We need to get...
My thoughts exactly. I got so tired of coaches talking up safeties that our eyes told us just weren't performing. I never got the love for Harris either, he is the definition of Just A Guy which is why Downs was my early favorite here.
I'm usually not one to be critical of kdawg. But I do disagree on JKM. I think he has great vision, I've seen him pick through and then explode through a hole. For an explosive back he moved the pile pretty well. His pass pro obviously needs work but that's typical of a rookie. I don't...
