    Seems logical if it was rebuffed by the nfl the team would acknowledge that there was engagement in the process with the league that resulted in a no go. As you point out it hasn't been stated explicitly, but it sure doesn't seem like that's what's happened here.

    I'd rather be wide awake during a colonoscopy than have to live with Commanders till the day I die. But, I'd also never want to go back to Redskins. In the end it's just so disappointing Harris didn't have the balls to make a tough call and stuck with the status quo.

    There's a little recency bias there...I'd say it also holds some of the worst. It reminds me of Snyd-dogs sexual harassment era, derpy Ron Rivera, and general incompetence as much as anything.

    People buy the gear because it's what exists if they want team gear. But, I have yet to meet someone in real life who actually likes the name or branding that we are now stuck with forever.

    After thinking about this a little, one of the things that it suggests to me is that while Josh Harris may have grown up a diehard fan...for the last 25yrs he's been no more than a casual. Which is fine, but I did hope we were getting someone with a more authentic connection to the fanbase...
