JD needs to play and needs to play a lot. He was barely getting it all together in the beginning of the season before all the WR injuries hit. He needs to use the rest of the this season to work on a few things:
1. better zone reads
2. better at reading defenses
3. better at going through...
Whitt is good as gone.. no way they bring him back. I wouldnt mind Quinn calling D plays .. thats the only time he really had success in the NFL, but thats not realistic. They will look for a real DC.
The bigger issue i have is that Quinn MUST have seen all the D struggles and what Whitt was...
22 month..maybe even 21 (if his surgery was at the end of Nov) . It takes most football players 2y to fully come back from an ACL. He had ACL, MCL, and meniscus tears. Depending on how well his rehab is going he might not be able to fully do off season conditioning at the right level and team...
Aiyuk's injury being what it is.. i doubt he can contribute at a high level next year.. so really you're getting him for 27.. not sure many teams are excited about paying him a hefty contract knowing that.
Forbes was not good here .. true. But doesnt it make you wander how a 1st rd pick can barely get on the field here.... gets cut after 2y and goes on to another team and doesn't just excel .. but is actually doing a pretty good job covering the opponents #1 WR. It not like he grew a couple of...
the point was that other teams are more injured and finding ways to win.. i just included more injured teams, some have better records. I'll get you a tissue.
Umm.. it seems like every team except for this one can find productive FAs to help the team win.
Much more injured teams like Bears, AZ, giants, Det, etc are finding players and ways to win. Something this team seems to be allergic to. This is a direct hit against the overall competence of...
Going from 12-5 to 4-13 the very next year IS the evidence. HC have lost their jobs for less.
i mentioned this in another thread:
Mcadoo 2016
Naggy in 2018
Marrone 2017
all had one good year, followed by a terrible year and got fired... so there is precedent
Not sure what kind of evidence you're expecting to see. I dont see Harris getting on twitter to bash Quinn
Another sub .500 season will absolutely put him on the hot seat. Peters will get 1-2 more years.
I always find it comical when posters site that Quinn is so amazing that he put...
If Kliff leaves, its far from a guarantee that the OC jobs will be handed to one of the coaches on the roster. Assuming he(Quinn) is back(not a choice i would make) Quinn is on the hot seat already... another bad season and he is headed out the door door along with most of the staff. So its in...
lots of a tackles is a terrible way to value linebacker play. all that means is that the rest of the D is so bad that he has to make all the tackles. Wagner is still smart and experienced.. he has that going for him. But.. he has zero lateral speed left. cant cover. He only gets tackles when a...
I am in the same boat, while i wouldn't hate it if he stayed.. i am ready for something different with more emphasis on getting the run game going. sure.. he failed with Murray.. but so did everyone else and its obvious the Murray is not a starting level QB. He was the only one that got one year...
well... hot OCs are all the rage in the NFL as HC options
1. he has proven that he works well with Rookie QBs and can build an O for them for them to succeede
2. He has HC experience
I hope he does.. i am ready for a change in O
I highly doubt Kingsbury stays as an OC here next year. He should have a few HC options and i am sure he will take one of them. he cant afford another terrible year like this one.. as it will tank his value.
Not sure which universe you're talking about but he was far from brilliant pick from the get go. He had the same injury on both feet and didnt even contribute in a meaningful way until the last 3rd of the season. The knock on him was that they drafted an injured player with feet issues and so...
