The All Things Offensive Line Thread

Wasn't Wylie a guard for the Chiefs Superbowl run the year before we signed him? He at least can push the pile forward.
The spin and circles from the local media are comical, they really are trying to have Peters back. One minute they are saying Peters doesn't Value the position as much as others and mentioning a Belicheck philosophy, the next sentence saying we were in on Tyler Lindenbaum while also completly ignoring one of his very first signings was giving $30Mil to Biadaz.
Now that it isn't a battle between Paul and Coleman for left guard, I wouldn't mind giving Wylie some reps. I don't want to wreck Paul's confidence but I do believe the best five players should start.

So this conversation about Center that Quinn is having. Does this mean they'll promote Gulbin over Good-Jones while Alegretti is out? Or are we just complaining and trying nothing different?

Interestingly it’s been pretty much proven out that successful play action is not reliant on a good running game
I’d love to see the methodology on these studies. At face value I’d agree that in general this is the case, but situationally it is almost the exact opposite.

A good power back in short yardage vs. Trung Canidate in short yardage… defenses completely take that into consideration.

Cody Ford got released.. although things might be really bad if we are picking up Bengals castoffs.

Out of curiousity, I looked up Gulbin PFF grade for his 1st game (at Center), amazingly he was given a Biadazs level grade of 67.5
