Official Game Thread - Preseason Week 2 - Commander @ Lions

That was beyond bad, that Jayden series. embarrassing. Before we heard rumors they might look at the waiver wire after the last cuts or might try to make a trade. Now I think they have to do so.

The Lions did us a favor by game planning to exploit Washington’s center. Showcasing that you can blow up this offense by zeroing in on it.

1st Half thoughts

Relatively pleased with the defense. Some work needed on run D.
Relatively displeased with offense. Offensive line woes look real. Henry and Allen are not succeeding like they did last week. Athan and Sam both look like backups. I'm sure Sam is getting a little more hate, but I think they've done about the same.

Yeah, that was beyond rough.

The biggest difference in my opinion is that athan has way more potential.

Hartman has a noodle arm and is year 3. He feels, sadly like he's at his ceiling where as AK, nobody knows what he might be capable of.

That first series on offense is sort of why I was not sure if it was worth it to even play Jayden in the preseason, especially if they were going to come out and not run the ball on the first two downs. Now the question is whether 1 series was the plan the entire time or if the O-line getting absolutely blown up put too much worry into Quinn and pulled Jayden Daniels.

i hate that the statline of 0/1 with a sack is all we’ll see from Jayden until week 1 in Philly. Isn’t the goal to give him some confidence? That statline is the complete opposite.

The o-line looks like complete trash. I’m scared Jayden won’t make it through even the first 8 games healthy.

I guess the tight ends were culprits too. Some say Chig isnt a good blocker but surprised about Bates

I do like the decision to alternate Sam and Athan

He said before the game only 1 series

So which owner (or owner’s wife) is a Notre Dame alum?

Still trying to figure out why Hartman is on the team.

lucious lyon wtf GIF

Does anybody else miss the false giddy optimism we used to take into the season?
Sure it was short lived most of the time but it felt better than this.

This is like the definition of doom scrolling.

I know its just being realistic but it still sucks.

This OL is why I was freaking out about Tunsil being signed. Of course, we signed him and got hurt.

But then I was also worried about center and guard. So… ya. Anyways. We should fix those spots
