Thanks for the updates! If Jayden is looking half as good as Josh Taylor seems to think then I can’t wait to see him dominate this year.
 
Ford being out of the RB competition due to IR and McNichols being unavailable for the next several weeks essentially ends the conversation in my opinion.

It's going to be Bill, White, Allen and Henry, with the assumption they keep 4 backs.

Unless there is another injury, I think that spot just settled itself.

Somewhat concerned about the number of injuries. We'll have to see how that all plays out.

Good to see Daniels in form.

I'm going to double down: I think Chig is going to lead the team in receptions this year. This is a super TE friendly type of offense. WCO's have always been TE friendly, and this one should be no exception. Daniels likes throwing over the middle, and Chig is an explosive target.

I think McLaurin will end up with more yards. Though I also could see Diggs and McLaurin stealing yards from each other on the outside. There are also are going to be less pass attempts to go around if they really do try and maintain the 50/50 run/pass ratio.

It's going to be fun to see how it plays out.
 
Funny one of JD’s questions was could he throw over the middle coming out of college.

Releasing a kicker is a completely different thing than releasing an offensive lineman. You only need and carry one kicker - period. So picking one and letting the other go is standard practice.

I've already gone on record as to what I think about doing players under contract 'a solid' when it potentially hurts your own roster. That's exactly what they did with Biadasz and it is already biting us in the ass. It's not like keeping a guy as a 2nd stringer (making the same exact salary he was making as a starter) is some kind of hardship.

I meant in the sense that they had decided the path and didnt drag their feet. They could have held onto Biadasz, but they released him in February.

They seem to determine a move and make it. They could have kept Moody til cut down day if they wanted, but they didnt.

Yeah, because LSU never had him do it. For whatever reason, you didn't see it on tape. When I broke down a couple games of Daniels pre-draft, I noted it as "I have no idea if he can or cannot because they don't do it."

They featured a lot of deep fades and out routes. Daniels was, by design, the checkdown in that offense.

Some said it was a knock on him coming out. When I looked at it, I never said that. I graded that as essentially N/A because I think he was asked to do it like 2 times a game. MAYBE.

I'd be surprised if its Chig. Coming from maybe his biggest cheerleader during FA, love his ability as to YAC. but he's not a tactician as to being a route runner. Jayden has become so much a throw with an anticipation -- I need to trust my receiver kind of QB and that screams to me Diggs. Jayden likes throwing to the middle and yeah that often means TE but can also be a slot WR.

I'd guess for catches and yards.

4. Some combo of the RBs

I agree.

The more I read and heard, and even what Keim said in is last podcast that they think Allegretti can at a minimum be as good as Biadasz, they had decided they wanted a divorce. The question was just when.

I don't think they wanted the ex-wife living in the house while they were courting the hot young thing (Lindy), or in the spare bedroom when they moved on and married Allegretti.

They wanted a clean break. Agree or disagree with that take, that's up to you, but the actions seem to indicate they didn't see Biadasz as an option, so might as well rip the bandaid off as soon as possible. If that worked out well for him also, so be it. But I don't think they wanted him around when they were pursuing Lindy. I don't think they ever saw him as the backup plan if they didn't land Lindy either. And they gave Allegretti an extension.

We'll see. I think Chig is going to be a security blanket and a matchup nightmare. And these offenses target TEs and slot WRs more than any other position on the field.

The leading receiver for the Bears last year in the Ben Johnson offense was a TE.

And I think there's a lot of room for growth for Chig. They bought low.

I also don't think Diggs is going to be on the field as much as Terry and Chig. When you look at snap percentage, I wouldn't be shocked if, baring injury, Terry and Chig are close-ish to 90% of snaps. They'll come out if/when they need a blow, but that's it. I definitely think Diggs is going to rotate with Williams, McCaffery, Burks, whoever.

I will never forget, I was standing right behind a goal post in HS, and the ball hit the crossbar on a FG attempt, and man, it's a lot lounder than you would think.

I think I read that the snap on this was "meh" and Tress got it down, but it might have screwed up the timing a little bit.

If the timing gets messed up and he still hits the cross bar from 60, gimme all of that.

If everything goes right, i STILL wouldn't hold it against him for a BOING from 60

It could leave Ford on the IR through the beginning of the season in case another back goes down. Ford would not be the worst insurance policy
 
Well, Biadasz carted off the field for the Chargers (which due to the butterfly effect may not have happened here, but still…) so that particular “what-if” can probably go by the wayside, after all the pixels spilled on it
 
Amik paused when asked about the secondary gelling (reporter’s word). His answer was not convincing. I think there is still much work to be done with this unit. Add the Amos injury to that equation and it’s a definite area of concern. JD has been carving up them up all camp. Yeah it’s JD, but still…the secondary needs to show up more.
