2026 Commanders Training Camp

Sounds like Allegreti may be the only player with a potential injury today. That's great that no one else was injured and he came off the field under his own power and was not limping. However, it having Gulbin and Good-Jones as your healthy Centers is a little scary.

They have to sign another veteran backup center eventually. Because I don't think they can count on Gulbin and Good-Jones for any length of time. My guess is as long as Allegretti is healthy, they will pick up a veteran center after roster cut downs. Either for the 53 or to stash on the PS. I don't think both GJ and Gublin make the team, and draft picks normally do, so, tough road to hoe for Good-Jones.

Being up and down on day 1 of camp is probably expected.

Allegretti leaving the field is "eeeek."

I have seen some tweets that the pace of practice and the intensity is definitely different this year from last.

If there's a silver lining to Allegretti getting hurt on day one it's that the team might lose a bit of its complacency in letting the center position ride. If this gets them to scour the market and pick up a better backup or someone capable of challenging for the starting role that'll be a relief.

Maybe Allegretti can do the job. I have a hard time believing he will be a revelation at center and more than passable at best.

I imagine Allegretti will be fine and Gulbin will be is backup. If he is out they may need to find themselves another vet C. I have little faith in Good-Jones if Allegretti is out.

Or maybe Gulbin gets some extra snaps and makes them count, leaving it on Allegreti to force him out of the starting lineup

You’re not wrong but I love how we’re always hoping our staff will be scared out of their own passivity at certain positions lol

Ah so the secondary is indeed a disaster currently

He did say Sainristil dropped an Interception. So that was at least right place right time.

Today was shirts and shorts right? No shells? This is when all the skill players look good. Harder to get slippery past a defender when you've got pads on.

All we can say about WR is that Antonio Williams is being schemed up. Blough is creating mismatches for Williams. He's going to get a lot of playing time.

Also, did you see the Burks TD grab? Defender was right there, there was no separation. Jayden just dropped right at the back line of the end zone where Burks had to jump for it and a defender couldn't.

Like that's the definition of a QB "throwing someone open".

That says more about the QB and less about the WR and CB.

No disagreement but that’s kindof what you need on that route in the endzone. You’re not going to get separation at that point in the field. The receiver has to get body position and then the QB has to throw it to a spot.

That’s kindof the way that particular play generally develops.

It’s one of the reasons why I could never understand why Jay would consistently call fades into the endzone to the shortest receivers on the team. But I digress.

I like JP, but that dude is like on some odd zealot level quest to sell the WR room, he will couch it sometimes by saying he's fine if they add one but then go on and on about how much he liikes the offensive weapons. But if he was on this board, he would take the lead debating people like me and some others on the topic.

(This is pretty funny.)

Went through the people I follow on X, and most of the other stuff has either been posted.

I heard Sinnott on a radio interview saying this offense will allow him to do the things he does best, he's really excited and pointed out that when you are behind a hall of famer you won't get many chances. I sure want to believe this.

Our interior OL is very concerning, even if Allegretti is OK. I don't see how they are going to able to run against the Eagles.

We have some truly ignorant and insensitive fans, it seems. Just had one try to tell me that because less than 1% of NFL players wear the guardian helmet, the ones that do are “soft”. And i was told it shows i never played football.

I hate people so much.

Now i have someone telling me mclaurin isn’t a WR1🤦🏻‍♂️ the stupidity never stops.
Dude, you need to stay off of Reddit or whatever social media you’re getting this from. Otherwise it’s exactly what you should expect and they’re gonna drive you crazy!

Some people define WR1 as top 12 because of fantasy and if that’s the context you can easily make an argument that Terry is a 2.

Calling guys soft for wearing extra protection I agree is ridiculous.

And btw…if this is really cooleyfan, I thought you got done dirty over at ES. Good to see you resurface over here.
