How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

I have to say I have seen a pretty significant drop-off from the “bring our brand back assholes!” crowd on social media since the new uniforms were released. For the most part the uniforms have been universally praised, with a lot of the praise going to the vastly improved black uniforms.

The minor griping against the very clearly Greco-Roman spear logo has largely been ignored. The team can completely null and void those arguments future forward by declining to use it with any “linking of the past” messaging, and full on embracing the Spartan vibe.

Don’t give them ammunition. Trying to force people to see it our way who aren’t emotionally tied to this thing will never work out in our favor.

Let’s just be who we are now.

Agreed. I think the team drew a line in the sand - they aren’t doing NA imagery, but the naysayers that want to punish the franchise and its fans by trying to force it into an expansion team are not getting their way. Harris and Co. are not going to ignore or erase the past. The team will wear classic uniform designs and colors. They will use some branding that evokes some feeling of the past without returning to it. I think that is what Harris meant by “getting back to our brand.”

Now that some sanity has been restored to the uniforms...when is the extradition paperwork for Tanya Snyder being filed for those abominations she 'created' back in 2022?

(Say...anyone hear how ol' Danny's attempts at buying an English soccer club have been going? He should be brought back in chains and put on display during the halftime show of the first game this season. Maybe put him in one of those dunking booths.)
 
Is that supposed to be a Hogette? Crossed with what? The Noid? Not every thought should be a post or for that matter, a hat. Geez Louise.
 
At first glance, I thought the hat was a sombrero and the figure some kind of taco. That might've been at least mildly amusing. I have no earthly idea what we are actually looking at here?
 
All this reverse psychology! Don't be so passive aggressive. I get it. I am screen capturing this cap because I know you want it as a stocking stuffer this Christmas.
 
I am a little disappointed 6 weeks after the fact that it's hard to find merchandise with the new spear logo. Where's a nice truckers/mesh-back hat with that logo? Where's a window decal for my car? I was able to find this shirt at nextplaytees.com...nice and retro-looking and simple...

Edit: Maybe not, the Wetzel logo is there too at 5:15 (and at the top as it should be). Throwbacks would be cool though. The helmets are nice regardless, and it’s good to see the historical stuff represented.

Imagery like that convinces me it’s only a matter of time before the spear features on the helmet.
