We just got back from Hawaii, and while we were there, we visited the Dole plantation. I have now learned more about Pineapples than I ever knew that there was to learn.

One thing I learned is the area of Hawaii where the Dole Plantation is located is perfect for Pineapples because the temperature is between 70 and 85 all year round, with cooler nights, and a lot of sunshine but enough rain to keep them happy.

In other news, I'm quitting my job and moving to Hawaii to work on the Dole plantation. Why do I live in a place where it's not between 70-85 every day, surrounded by mountains and beaches?
 
When I was stationed at Kaneohe, we did a lot of our training up near the North Shore of Oahu ... and we would send patrols into the Dole fields at night and gorge on pineapple. Our Marines also dug a 10' deep pit and baited it with MRE's to catch a wild boar. They caught one, and the damned thing jumped out of that pit like it was stepping out of a shower stall and chased my guys up on the roof on a Humvee. Pretty funny to watch transpire. No roasted pork - but the pineapples were amazing.

I had to google that, just to publicly declare how truly un-hip I really am :)

And now that I could get high for the first time in more than 40 years without having to fear urinalysis and work ramifications, I don't have any desire to.
 
I love my mornings.... sittin out back sippin coffee, watchin the rabbits play, all sorts of birds flying in and out, the guy that lives behind me chasing a pigeon across his roof in his boxers... life is good.

Taking my wife out to get her hair cut at a very nice salon and going shopping tomorrow. Saturday we were going to go see our new lot. Sunday probably at the beach

This is - literally - my Redskin Plant. I grew it from a Redskin Potato I planted about a few weeks ago.

In the background are a couple of my Avocado Trees. But I planted those many months before the Redskin Plant,
yet the Redskin Plant is towering above them all, just like Anthony Mix.

So, soon Anthony will be having Redskin babies in my pot.

Anyone plan to watch the UFC 328 card ?
If so, is there any particular fight, or figher, that interests you ?

I don't really know UFC but I love boxing and violent sports, I guess I have to get caught up!

If you like violent sports, I hope you check it out...and then post your thoughts.
And while MMA is more violent than boxing, it is still very technical and strategic.
And in recent years promotions have added an even more violent version of MMA, as "Bare Knuckle"

RedWolf will you still be in the D.R. this Saturday night ?
If so, I bet you can catch this card at a local bar, especially because there is a true Dominican fighter on this card - Waldo Cortes-Acosta.
And he is highly ranked and fighting right before the co-Main.
I'd guess it would be televised in numerous places, out of support for a successful fighter from their home country.
