(New Poll) The Washington Commanders Brand 2.0: Beer Drinkers and Hail Raisers

How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

That's a good point, maybe they want to make sure they have enough on hand for Thursday...
 
Too much gambling on who the teams are going to pick in the draft to leave home and the 60' TV with split screens to track the boards :eclipsee-victoria:
 
I grew up with the fight song after every touchdown and don't want to see it go away. I gave some thought to possible updates that could be made.
"Hail the Commanders, hail victory. Brave our Commanders. Fight for old DC."
It would require changing the "HTTC" that has been used but I think the cadence of lyrics fit with the old music and tempo better.
 
I’ve given this some thought today and I think as long as we have a marching band, we have to have a fight song. I wonder if the best solution to this isn’t just having somebody write a new song for the Commanders that is not a revamped Hail to the Redskins. Maybe something that includes like a heavy drumline intro. Gives an approaching Roman legion kind of vibe. Find a way to include the Celtic Carnyx. Imagine this sound echoing all over the stadium on a Monday night game with the Hail Raiser Uniform. 🔥

 
Don’t fans just sing Redskins anyway. They all did in New Orleans two seasons ago. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Over here in Europe, we have the Fanatics Euro shop and the selection is WAY less than you get in the US shop. I tend to get stuff from the US shop and import it over, but the shipping is pretty expensive.
I was looking at that cap before it sold out. I think it was like $34 and then $27 shipping or something stupid.

The spear cap isn't even in the European NFL shop. We're still running mostly on last years gear. :(

Have you checked out how much a new jersey is on NFL UK shop? 145 pounds!!

That's almost $200 for our American friends.
 
Not the 40 dollar version but it’s nice. Here at the stadium they clearly are ALL IN on the spear. More pictures later. This logo is everywhere including the crossed spears variation.

Last nights haul. As I said, lots of new stuff with the arrow logo at the Stadium. Decals, hats, helmets, keychains, all the jerseys were in stock. My nephew and I also bought new Burgundy Jayden jerseys and my wife and son both got Hail Raiser Jayden’s. The new primary helmet has definitely made a full return to the old Redskins burgundy once you see it up close. The koozies were free. Like I said, if this is the brand moving forward I’m good, but I’m fairly certain more is in store for us. At this point I trust them to improve it in the right ways.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the kind of thing that they only sell at the stadium store. Hopefully they open them to the online stores soon.
